Why do you or anyone feel like you're entitled to answers. How does it affect you? What exactly did he say? Is he defined by one moment in time? Why such delight in tearing someone down? If he owned up to some mistake in the past is he forever defined by it like a disfellowshipped person is forever labeled unless they come crawling back?

Although I am not of fan of the cost here, nor of the fact that he didn't even reply to my query regarding helping to get the word out about my podcast activism, I have to say that I'm not a fan of vilifying the guy either. Picking at the word "girl" seems a stretch, even more labeling someone a "pedo" without real evidence. The guy is abrasive to some, has made enemies, but then again some of those people made him an enemy.
Props to the guy for doing a lot for doing a lot for the exjw community. His site and videos have helped a lot of people. It feels unfair to pick him apart just because he's vocal and puts himself out there. Does he get money for things? I'm sure, but let's not act like the man is getting rich. I don't want to be like the JWs that get up in arms about people selling book covers and such as though everything should be free and there's no cost to time. I have people asking me to put a Patreon account up for them to donate to my efforts in my podcast. I haven't yet, but it takes both time and money to do things. People want to pay to show support too.
It just don't get the desire to pile on people that do good things and to focus solely on the negative. It feels like a feeding frenzy and maybe some of those negative qualities allow him to do positive things too. Glass houses and all that stuff. It takes all types.

Live Kingdom Hall Streaming
by The Fall Guy insincere apologies if i've missed previous post/s on this topic, but who actually owns this nice little earner?
https://www.livekingdomhall.com/signup.
i've just been discussing this "provision" with an elderly jw sister who paid out over £100 for an apple box, in order to access her local congregation meeting when she didn't attend..

Interesting. The pricing seems kind of inexpensive to me. I looked up the domain but it's private so I couldn't see who owned it. I knew that one could listen in and thought that congregations paid for it, but didn't know about video streaming.

Merry Christmas to everyone! My wife and I kicked it off today by opening presents given to us by our clients and had fun with that. Later today we're watching Harry Potter movies with some exjw friends.
Enjoy the days, whatever they mean to you, in freedom to decide that for yourself. :)

Oh yeah, I know E-town. Been there many times. Used to go through Etown to fish in Hodgenville way back in the day.
I would tread lightly with CoC and your wife. If she's still all in, that's likely way too much. Those that have success getting spouses out usually do it little by little over time.
Shoot me a private message. Tell me more about yourself. I'm sure you don't want to put your name out in public but you can in pm. Who knows, maybe I've heard of your family. We can work out a time to meet sometime.

Where in Kentucky? I'm in the Louisville area. Technically just across the river in Clarksville Indiana, but we're in Kentucky all the time. I do two podcasts, one called "This JW Life" where I told my life story, and now one called "shunned" where I help others to tell their stories. So I'm a proper apostate, lol. My wife and I left together two years ago.
I've driven to Lexington an hour and a half away to meet a sister that is stuck in and can't leave but that needs someone to talk to. Maybe we could meet up sometime.

Do you have a place to get away from it all?
by compound complex inis your retreat .
an actual location, or simply a quiet place in your mind?.
i attended a concert on sunday, a featured piece having been commissioned by a composer who lives in the city but retreats to an island in the puget sound (usa) to write his music.

I wish. I can say that my wife and I go hiking to fill that need at times, but no place nearby. We hiked this place a couple years ago where we stumbled upon this park bench right on the river that was just idyllic. I wished in that moment that it was closer because that spot just spoke to me. I've been lots of places and something there just spoke to me. It's just too far to go to regularly.
