What does it say to your child that you are shunned by these people? You would never accept less than a package deal if they wanted to come over to your place to see her, and you wouldn't drop her off and turn tail and run in shame either. Fuck that. I think they should be able to understand if they're human (unlike that one douchebag on your thread).

im seeing my solicitor tomorrow to see about getting an order in place making sure any contact my daughter has with my jw family goes through me and not my ex-wife.. explained the situation briefly to the lawyer, she was asking more and more about why should i be concerned if a jw had access to my child.. i mentioned the blood issue, the shunning, the inappropriate pictures of armageddon in books/mags etc.
do you think i should bring in watchtower literature to show them what i mean?

I'm in contact with a reporter on the story. He's hoping to hear more about the suicide note tomorrow if possible.
My guess is that there's a lot more to this story. I bet it runs really deep. Hopefully more comes out.

Yep, nobody at the KH treated her with humanity as a hurting person. They were more concerned about the meeting going on.
They also called the police on her. I guess they DO know the number for 911, just not when children are being raped.
The long suicide note left by the mom should be telling if ever made public. It's all just heartbreaking. Well, not to JWs who have had their humanity stripped by their cult leaders, but for normal people.

Boyfriend force me to study the bible or no marriage
by MuslimWoman inmy boyfriend, who is a disfellowshipped jehova's witness, asks me to study the bible for 3 months or he won't marry me (i'm a muslim woman).
he loves me and really wants to marry me but he is doing a passive blackmailing: if i don't study for 3 months, 1 time per week, in my home country, and without him, there will be no marriage... as a muslim, i believe the bible is god's word so i look at the bible from time to time and would be happy to study with him.
but the fact that he is kind of saying "study the bible or bye bye no marriage" is really hurtful.

Like I said earlier, you can't make them realize. Only if they have doubts and are ready can they see anything. Steve Hassan (look up his books) says that things like watching a documentary on another cult (like Leah Remini's show on Scientology) can sometimes help people see the similarities between other cults and their own and shake them a bit. Still, many in here have family that watch it and don't see similarities.
If a person is blind they cannot see and you cannot make them see. He doesn't get to force you to be a JW and you don't get to force him not to be a JW. It's up to him, not you.

Now you have some inkling of how we all feel when we are thrown away by our mothers and fathers and siblings and friends and sometimes spouses in the name of Jehovah. Thrown away like common trash as if nothing real was ever there.
