Found these stats interesting from NY. Somehow most new cases are people that were actually sheltering at home. WTF?

Covid-19 (Coronavirus) - Status Update Thread
by Simon inthis topic is to focus on status updates & advice (no opinion or politics please).. status.
latest status is that it's serious, probably isn't going to be contained and most large companies are making contingency plans, cancelling large events etc... which i don't think would happen if it was just people being alarmist.
the incubation period means it may have already spread further and infected many more people than are currently known, so expect jumps in the numbers over the coming days and weeks.. tracking.

Not sure if this has been talked about or not, but just saw this article indicating that the virus is mutating quickly and that could be an issue when looking to create a vaccine, not to mention that the new iteration is much more contagious.

Hotpepper: The WTS went against U.S. govt the Mexican gov't Russian government. Romanian Gov't. German government, . You pick the country and the WTS Has taken them to court. NO COPYRIGHT. Involved. You cry babies like Dubstepped. And minimus. Crying for proof. Big time Apostates always waving their flag. But don't know their WT her history. I'll make it easy. Who and how many persons, groups did Charles taze Russell try to SUE.
Sigh, let me see if I can help you out here. The original poster made the claim:They are now suing everyone who has books or internet presences critical of the cult. This was never done that I can remember before.
Nobody was talking about history here. You're bowing up over a conversation only being had between your own two ears. I didn't talk history because that wasn't the subject at hand. The OP made a claim that they were NOW suing everyone with books or internet presences critical of the cult. Nobody talked governments or history so gtfo. I asked because I actually AM an activist that is critical of Watchtower and I'd like to keep abreast of their CURRENT actions toward activists. I'm sorry that went over your head.
Yes, in the course of history they have been involved in many lawsuits. We can agree on that and it was never what I was discussing, nor did it seem to be the aim of the OP who was actually contrasting today with the past. -

Clearly they'd like to shut people down and of course copyright would be one way to try. But again, do you have evidence of them going after people that are merely critical without using their copyrighted materials? Books where people simply tell their stories? Other such activism without using their copyrighted materials?

I may be wrong, but I believe they're only suing people that are using their copyrighted materials, not just anyone critical of the cult. There is the concept of "fair use" but there are things that have to be met to meet that threshold and let's face it, Watchtower has free lawyers working in house so they can sue now and worry about what meets the qualifications later.
If you know of people sued simply for being critical I'd be interested to know. Many people use their materials without care and feel justified but that could prove an issue later. I don't know of anyone that hasn't done something potentially copyright infringing that has been gone after yet for just being critical. -

Are Ex-JW's Suffering From Burn Out?
by IWant2Leave inthe reason that i ask is, in the two years on this forum and you tube, i've seen ex-jw's either drop off entirely or make fewer and fewer videos.
i know the emotional toll can be high.
is that the sole reason, or is it cost (video) or do you think it's external pressure (legal or family)?

I've been producing content since mid-2017 through my podcasts and YouTube channel. It's a ton of work and like the OP said it takes an emotional toll. Some create content because it is part of their own healing process and at a point they're finished because they just don't have anything left to offer. Others create content and see how much work it takes and decide they'd rather put that time and effort into other things that move them forward in life. There's a lot of drama in the ex-JW community and that can take a toll on people and become exhausting. Let's face it, leaving a cult doesn't mean you're healthy, it just means you left an unhealthy environment, not that you left the residue of that environment behind.
I've had my moments when I was tired too or got exhausted by dealing with toxic people that have come my way. I've always wanted to do it to help other people though and someone letting me know how what I did helped them or maybe Watchtower doing something awful might light my fire again. I've been very consistent, and I've been able to do more and more. Last year I got to speak at a conference and did some work with ICSA. Now I work one on one with people professionally to help them heal and that really gets to the heart of things and keeps me going. I also run group meetups every week. I'm trying to create new ideas for content too as keeping it fresh is a goal. But it's definitely a slog if you want to keep going. I try to stay out of the ex-JW activist drama too and kind of keep to myself as much as possible. But it isn't easy to do something like this long term. -

Had the craziest dream that my wife Disassociated from the JW cult
by goingthruthemotions inwhat a crazy dream, it was so cool....she came to me and told me she da'd from the cult.
i was so happy in my dream.
when i woke, it took me a few seconds to realize it was only a dream and that she is still brainwashed.

I think that seeing more people we care about leave the cult of Jehovah's Witnesses is a dream that we all have. Just today I had two people reach out that were thinking of going back reach out to me. Thankfully I was able to talk with them and to help them see the realities of the cult so that the fear they were brainwashed with didn't lead them back. Talk about "dogs returning to their vomit".
I hate to hold out false hope but you never know who might wake up someday. I'm sure my brother was excited when I woke up. I don't know if more people are leaving, but more people are being vocal about it, and that means that more opportunities exist to wake up and find their way out of the cult. Talk about a resurrection, seeing someone you care about rise from the dead so to speak and find their real life is exciting. -

Those doctors made a number of valid points but if you disagree with the Covid narrative that promotes the highest levels of fear you are shunned and labeled an apostate. Their video was removed because it didn't conform. So much misinformation, so many fallacious models have been put forth, so much fearmongering has been used, but you won't see it censored in the same way.
The facts, of which we have limited quantity, can be interpreted in only one way, the way of "The Truth". Listen, obey, and be blessed. ;)

Snowbird, you sound like a nice person. In fact, I'd say likely a better person than your god so don't sell yourself short. We're literally on a thread about a guy that was among a handful of people to survive your god murdering every man, woman, child, dog, cat, horse, pretty much anything with a face on earth, handing a lot of asses back to everyone in a genocide unlike any other. Let's not pretend that he's nice, and on the other hand maybe some need to appreciate that others may have more to them than a simple belief or lack thereof.
