gotta love that little 'ol band from Texas
Speaking of Texas music, I can't imagine why neither of us mentioned Stevie Ray Vaughn. Toss Texas Flood in the CD player & turn the volume knob all the way clockwise.
playing on the radio now is jackson browne's "running on empty".
this brought to mind all those times i would be driving back to nacogdoches on that winding texas two lane highway with the dogwoods lacing through the pines, the windows down and me singing harmony.
all the while, i'm pushing that pedal down...faster ....and faster.

Eric Clapton is great for the road ... especially his Songs From the Cradle, Unplugged, and Riding With the King CDs. Oh, and grab a copy of Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs from his days with Derek & The Dominoes. Awww, heck ... might as well toss in a couple from when he was with Cream and with The Yardbirds.
Anything by John Lee Hooker.
ZZ Top. You can't go wrong when the stereo is blasting out a tune from their Tres Hombres, Tejas, Deguello, or Rhythmeen CDs.
that's right.........god's "family" in heaven gave birth to two boys..........read for yourself.

21) not all children turn out the same way or for good.
I remember this line of teaching from the 1970s.
I always wondered what would happen if Lucifer/Satan were to return to the fold, kinda like the parable of the prodigal son. Would Jehovah welcome him back with open arms? Would Michael/Jesus be ticked off about it? Would Jehovah then set aside his grand plan to destry Satan as was laid out in just about every Bible book from Genesis to Revelations? If there was no chance for Satan to return & repent, what does that say about our own chances for forgiveness if we do something really bad? If there is no chance for Satan to mend his ways or repent, what does that say about the question of free will vs. fate?
Some folks didn't like my questions.
ok............who wants to come party at our corona hangout?.
the hacienda is open and serving drinks.
i think i need something stronger tonight.........i need that bartender to mix me up a vodka 7......who else?
as long as the truck is bringing bottles from Mexico ... a splash of Cabo Wabo would be nice.

Not me. I left the org when personal computers were still running DOS and no one had really heard of the internet.

TD, there are quite a few cross-over elements from the books King co-wrote with Peter Straub as well (The Talisman and Black House).

You'll enjoy it, TR. I sure liked it better than Wizard & Glass.
I still miss Blaine the Mono, though.

The way she was 'sleepwalking' on Wolves of the Calla ... I think her baby is going to cause them all a lot of trouble.

It's the whole thing with the tower at the center of all worlds.

Which reminds me ... anyone else get the heebie jeebies when reading books from Stephen King's The Dark Tower series? I always think about the WTS when I've read those books, even though I've been away from more than 20 years.
