If I remember correctly from that article the WTS published, chicken soup causes cancer only if it's cooked in an aluminum pot. This bowl of soup was heated up with nice, safe radiation in my microwave.

by Gopher ini went with my older daughter to see "ella enchanted" this weekend.
it's an updated version of the cinderella story, and was very entertaining.. .
shortly after ella's birth, her fairy godmother gives her the "gift" of obedience.

Interesting perspective.
My daughter saw the movie last weekend with one of her friends. She said she liked the book much better than the movie.
I suppose that since you asked how I broke the spell ... hmmmm ... maybe it's best to say that I met my own serpent who guided me to the forbidden fruit. I tasted, I enjoyed, and I left the Garden. Once out, I figured out that the Garden wasn't even as attractive as I had once thought, let alone being as attractive as I was told.

Ways to motivate the Witnesses

Not to me. Knowing that we're all gonna assume room temperature some day, I think the 'point' is what you do with your life between cradle & grave. Make sure that your curtain climber has some good tales to tell your grandchildren & great-grandchildren about your time together & the things you did in your life.

What Makes Some ExJWs So Angry & Others So Pleasant???

from what i can see, it appears that some exwitnesses are either handling life outside the organization pretty well or not well at all.
i wonder if some persons simply, by nature are angry, unhappy persons while others are naturally good, "honest-hearted ones" that simply want to find some measure of happiness.

Anger is a healthy thing. We need it to get by. But some folks just don't know how to use their anger constructively, or how to let go of the anger and move on when the time comes. And they wind up stuck with all of the emotional baggage of their past, dragging it along & souring every new experience in their lives.
It ain't just x-jw's ... you can see it in the way some speak of their parents or their divorces or their school or their former employers or whatever ... they're just all full of piss & vinegar.
