Charcoal all the way. I prefer the flavor that a charcoal fire gives the food, and I will sometimes throw some maple pieces on the coals as well. The only complaint I've ever had about using charcoal is that it's tough to light when the temp drops below about 20 degrees Farenheit. All the same, I'm still seen in the back yard cooking on the grille or in the smoker when the snow is thigh deep.

Charcoal or Gas Grilling?
by El Kabong inok, i'm sitting in my sunroom, i got the grill going right outside cooking up some beautiful spareribs with my special hand-rub spices.
after that, i got 4 beautiful well marbled porterhouse steaks just waiting to be grilled to perfection.
my preference has always been using a charcoal grill.

for those who like WWII aircraft
by Pleasuredome ine'man, because of his new avatar pic, has inspired me to start this thread.
i've always had an interest in wwii millitary aircraft since i was a child.
i just wondered if anyone else had the same interest and could post pics of their favourite military aircraft from the same era.

I always loved the old fighter planes, myself. My favorite was the P-38.

If you are a guy and taking a travel bag to the fest...
by FMZ in.
don't buy the bic comfort twin pack of razors.. the only comfort they provided was that i am comforted to know that i still readily produce blood.
go ahead and buy the mach 3. it will cost about 10 bucks more, but well worth it.. fmz

Skip the Bic. Dan-O endorses the basic double edge.

But I don't know what it is in memoriam of. Can you enlighten me?
In memory of those who have served in our nation's military, particularly those who gave their lives in combat. My son's Cub Scout pack went through one of the local cemetaries last Saturday, helping members of the American Legion place small flags on the graves of veterans.
My own plans include a family trip to the far northwestern suburbs of Chicago, to spend the weekend with my wife's sister. Yeehaw. With any luck, I will get to play golf, though ... so it's not all bad.

I know...that's awesome!
Ain't it, though? It sure beats the 12 MPG that my 1968 Chevy pickup got when I was in high school! Well ... it got 12 MPG when I drove responnsibly. Otherwise, when I drove like a normal teenage boy, it got about 9 MPG.

Six Flags shouldn't have let morbidly obese man on roller coaster
by ThiChi ini'm sorry, but i can't get this picture out of my mind, a 365 pound man flying through the air....
six flags shouldn't have let morbidly obese man on roller coaster.
six flags darien lake, n.y., amusement park in will pay $3.95 million to a man who sustained a large abdominal hernia after being ejected from the park's superman--ride of steel roller coaster.

365 pounds? Sweet Jesus ... tell me he's 8 or 10 feet tall, please. How the heck did they even get the restraint bar to close before starting the ride?
