I'm quite thankful to have not heard the word "paradigm" for the past few years. That one was burning my ass worse than a three foot high flame.

things that niggle you.......Grrrrrrr........whats yours?
by ScoobySnax ini'll tell you what niggles me and makes me cringe at the same time, its sitting in a boring lecture at work on a managers "away day" and having someone keep using those same tired dick-head phrases that i hate.. eg:.
"lets think outside the box".
"lets all network in groups".

See, now ... your list is pretty darn good, bit it's not quite complete & accurate. Jot these down, folks:
It is ok for a man to cry under the following circumstances:
Delete the "when she's using her teeth" bit & replace with "after getting kicked in the 'nads".
Thou shalt not buy a car in the colours of brown, pink, lime green, orange or sky blue.
Orange is acceptable IF the car is a 1969 Dodge Charger, but only if you paint a large Confederate flag on the roof and the number 01 on the doors. The doors must also be welded shut so that you have to climb in & out through the windows. Orange is also acceptable in the case of a 1969 Camaro, Chevelle, or Nova in the familiar 'Hugger Orange' hue, regardless of whether the car has numbers on the doors and/or a flag on the roof. -

Favourite comic book or comic book hero ?
by El blanko ini noticed somebody said they were bored, so i thought i'd start up a ' fluff ' thread .
i have been a minor fan off and on of comic books through the years (although not as obsessed as a guy i know of who owns 1000s of the comics and delves deeply into that particular universe of artwork for spiritual insight) and have a favourite book that inspires thought and fires up my imagination:.
' watchmen ' written by alan moore.

Alright, Nat ... the Ghost Who Walks was pretty cool .. but not as cool as Spidey's favorite taunt, The Incredible Hulk.

Why men are happier...

Do ya really want to hear the rebuttal of "Why women are happier?"
I always figured it was 'cause even though a woman doesn't have a penis, with what she does have, she can get all of 'em that she'd ever want.

this depends entirely on who's leaving those crumbs

(Fluff) Bald Heads
by Descender inso, yeah.
this isn't a religious topic or even important, but i figured that there were so many other posts about miscillaneous subjects that i'd post my own.
i have a receding hairline, so i shave my head twice a week or so and i usually keep a goatee.

Probably best f you don't ask, Sassy. There's young 'uns that wander into these discussions.

Given the number of x-jw's there (including my mother & three of my brothers), perhaps a secession is in order.

jw's and holidays
by prgirl79 ini was with a ex-jw for 5 years or shall i say disfellowshipped but still never moved on!
anyways the whole time we were together no birthdays, funerals, weddings (only reception not church), thanksgiving, christmas.
i always felt alone and like i would offend him celebrating these things.

I was kinda bummed that my sister didn't attend my wedding, as it was held at a Catholic church.
As for the holidays, my family does celebrate them. I still find it difficult to really get into them as much as Mrs. O & the kids seem to. But, I'm there ... dragging all the boxes of decorations out of the basement at Christmas, helping color eggs for Easter, handing out Halloween candy, etc. To me, they're all just another day ... but they make for a handy excuse to eat a great meal & have an extra drink while doing fun stuff with the family.
