Hi, Sleepy,
Excellent list of questions. Be aware that if they cannot show you proof in the Bible to answer your questions they WILL tell you to believe whatever the WTBTS says to believe. I had that experience long ago before I left and have friends and family experience the same today. Another question might be why do they restrict the taking of communion unless you claim to be annointed? Read John 6:42-59. It says anyone eating this Bread shall live forever. ANYONE!!!!!!!! Aren't they restricting everlasting life to their members????? Doesn't that make them blood guilty? I also like the UN association question. How can they possibly explain that one away.

The Bible advances women's rights
by Rex B13 inour forum's now chapter likes to slander christian believers over alleged poor treatment of women.
in truth, the bible advanced women's rights in the ancient world, even in a paternalistic society.
here are the results of research into this topic.. num 5.12--the trial of bitter waters (sotah) is a an amazing provision by god for a woman to publicly clear her name (and indict a dysfunctional husband in the process).

Hey, All
Eve was not in subjection to Adam until after they had sinned. It was then Jehovah put that condition on their relationship. Women have been mentioned in the Bible several times for bravery (Rahab), loyalty (Ruth), or having the privilege of being the first human to see Christ after his resurrection (Mary Magdalene). Many women were left out because the men who wrote or translated the Bible felt it was not socially acceptable to include them in their writings. Who knows--------Adam and Eve could have had a 50-50 relationship before they sinned. -

I don't know if they have this where you live, but look in the yellow pages of the phonebook for an org called "Center For Living With Dying". They have been around a long time and can help you cope with your Father's death.

I am puzzled as to your thinking. Why do you believe because you left the JW religion there is no ressurrection? Do you think only JW's are ressurrected and if you are not one you don't get ressurrected? Please reply.

Unfortunately the WTBS sends this message of isolation to the congregations as well. I know personally of a woman who lived in a tent in the snow because her local congregation elders would not lift a finger to help her when she became homeless. Her only crime was not attending meetings or going out in service regularly. My niece brought the woman and her daughter into her home to live until they could find an apartment. She and her husband then helped them with money too. My niece and her husband were df'd JW's. The woman no longer attends any meetings and has realized how unloving her fellow JW's can be. Wake up!!!!! This is not Jehovah's organization.

My Dear Shelby,
Take heart for you have now joined the ranks of the Christ and his followers for they to were thought to be the "bad guys". They were ridiculed, tortured and murdered because they taught a different message, saw visions, heard the Holy Spirit's voice and believed very different than the world of their time. It is so easy to see just how easy it was for the world of their time to do such horrible things to them by reading the various posts on this board. Thank goodness your faith is securely intact. Thanks for sharing your vision. -

I just want to say thank you to those who post at this website. I did go into H20 before it shutdown and found it rather radical and many times comments were made without love. You all seem to show a lot of love to those who post here and I am grateful for that. The need for encouragement and love is a must when you leave the WTBS because most of the time you leave all family and friends behind. They leave you - you do not leave them. The one thing we sincerely need to hang on to is the love of Jehovah our God and the sacrifice of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. He died for us ALL not just JW's. We can ALL go to him at anytime and ask for guidance, forgiveness of any sin,(except sin against Holy Spirit), and help with any problem. Have faith in your heart that he does listen to every word we say to him and know our prayers are answered according to his will not ours for he truly knows what is best for us. I know because I have had my prayers answered again and again. May you have peace and the love of the Father and Son in your hearts.

Hi, Allen,
I am new to this board as well. I left the JW religion 26 years ago and have not looked back. It was bad then and has only gotten worse. Always question in your head what you are being told. Look everything up in the Bible and any references. My nephew and his wife left 3 years ago after being in it 38 years. (From birth.) They tried to use the Bible to talk with the elders and show them where they were wrong but got thrown out anyway. They did nothing but disagree with doctrine. Holy Spirit led them out. Pray for truth with a sincere heart and you will be led to it. Yes, we lost our family and my nephew lost a business he was in with his dad who is still a witness. But we have not regretted one day. We still serve Jehovah and Jesus Christ faithfully and they have not let us down. -

My finding is that the JW religion is one of the most unloving religions there is. You are only loved conditionally. The condition that you attend the meetings, go out in service and do everything the WTBS tells you to do. It has nothing at all to do with what is really required of a Christian. It has nothing to do with having the law written on your heart. You must read all of THEIR booklets and associate only with them. You are looked down on and disciplined if you do anything to the contrary of the above. Why people still get taken in by them is beyond me. Going in they are so friendly. Stay awhile and you find out the deceit that is going on in every congregation. Any religion that says pray only to Jehovah God and don't go through the Christ is wrong. The only way to the Father IS through the Christ, but they teach differently. These are big road signs that you are going the WRONG WAY and yet people still travel that road. When you lead the sheep you are in charge of astray you have a greater sin to answer for when this system ends. They are certainly blood guilty and will have to answer for it.

Did you ever have an experiance with Holy Spirit?
by Stealth ini have never felt the intervention of the holy spirit in my life.
maybe that is one of the reasons i never felt like a good christian.. i think someone can take any situation and say it was the holy spirit acting in their life if they want to believe bad enough.
i saw my mother do this many times.. anyone here had any experiences that they felt was the holy spirit acting in their lives?

Shelby is telling the truth when she says she hears daily. Anyone can hear Holy Spirit anytime they wish to. King David heard it all the time. The disciples heard it and Paul referred to hearing many times. Why would you doubt that anyone can hear because we are in the year 2001? If the Messiah appeared before you today would you ask to see the nail wounds? Probably. It takes faith to hear. Jesus stands at the door and knocks it is up to us to open the door. We can open it an inch or throw it wide open it is up to us. Didn't the Christ promise that he would send a comforter and someone that would impart knowledge and truth to us in the form of the Holy Spirit
and do you doubt that he did this? You are like Israel who needed to see the plagues, the golden calf, the fire at night and the cloud during the day to believe Jehovah was with them. You are like the Pharisees and Sadducees who wanted more and more miracles from Christ so they could believe. If we always need to see to believe where is our faith? Isn't faith based on what is not seen? We don't see the air yet we breathe it and know it is there. Why is it so hard to
believe in the Christ and Jehovah God? They do not want us enslaved to religion. To men telling us how to believe. Their yoke is light. Don't be afraid to open your heart and ask for the truth to be revealed to you and have faith he will answer you.
