ok new idea, was thinking of sharting a hi low post at the end of every week.. the idea came from the move "the story of us" starring bruce willis and michelle pfeiffer.. for all who have not seen the movie, at the end of every day they sit at the dinner table with there kids and all have to tell the rest on the family the high (good thing that happened for the day) and their low ( bad or dissapointing thing that happened for the week).
it can bee as silly or as serious as you want.. just and idea, will trial it for a few weeks and see how it goes.. .
my high: it's now school holidays here, have my kids home for 2 weeks, no more early starts and fighting to get the kids into bed on time.

My low: had huge fight with my Ex in public, hated it. He just would not stop. Kept following me round. I ended up running to my car and driving off.
welcome CCT,
You've come to the right place if you want answers to your questions. We cover a wide variety of topics here, not always bible based, and have a huge amount of fun.
Welcome and am looking forward to reading more of your posts.
Lehaa.
i had my girls over last night for dinner.
during the conversation, we talked about a number of things, in where i detected that they have grown up so much in making decisions for themselves that are totally contrary to the borg beliefs and standards.
the movies they watch, music they listen to, people they hang out with, parties they go to, video games they play.. i have talked to my girls everyday since last week.
Dear Putter,
I'm sooo happy for you. It's great that you and your daughters are finally gettting back together.
As I've said before little girls always need there daddies. I still need mine and I'm 30. I could not bear to ignore mine after he got disfellowshipped, even though the rest of the family gave me hell for it. Now I'm disfellowshipped were even closer than ever.
Congratuations, I now have tears folling down my cheeks.
Lehaa.
Look forward to hearing more about them, maybe well here from them on the board to one day.
wrong or right?.
right to choose, or murder?.
what is everyones point of view?.
She went on Depo. A birthcontrol that stops the egg from coming out. Stopping her period, and 99.9% of her getting pregnant. One shot of Depo lasted 3 months. Bad side? Of course there is! Major weight gain. She has fought it off for thepast 3 months, and im not letting her go on it again, because she doesnt like it.We've had preganancy scares, where she took an ECP, and cried for hours about it, even though it was her choice. We've had spotting, (instead of one, one week period, its small spots of blood, at random points in the month.) But to this point, she isnt pregnant.
Lost reality,
i know haow you and your girlfriend feel. The pill had major side effects for me and so did depo.
I now have a Mirena IUD, Its fantastic. I had a bit of pain for the first few weeks but apart from that nothing. It's cheaper than the pill, in australia anyway, and the best thing is it lasts for 5 years. it is safer than the pill, no human error involved and it slowly slows down your periods, in some cases stops them all together. Major plus for me.
Just some useful information i thought might help.
( sorry just remembered its only recomended for women who have already had kids, just because it's easier to insert. If your interested talk to your doctor.)

Me persolally for myself i am totally againts abortion, even it there was something wrong with the child or I'd been raped.(not the kids fault that their father is a jerk)
I personally think that abortion is to readily used as a means of contraception.
Both of my kids were planned so i've never been in the position to even have to think of it.
A friend of mine got his partner pregnant and they'd decided to get an abortion, they had it all booked in and even turned up for the apointment. Then in the waiting room he just decided that he could not do it, could not kill his child. He decide that even if she did not want it that he would look after it on his own. They are now married with two beautiful boys. There marriage at times is rocky and his wife oes not cope at times, but he is there for them all and plays a huge part in the day today caring of his children.
My view is is you are not prppared to raise a kid then don't do it ao be really careful. Know of some couples that use two and three means of conptaception.
I am aware that there are cases where if a woman is raped and can't stand the thought of carrying the child and the psycholigical damage that that would do to her.
There is also the option of adoption. There are a lot of people on waiting lists to adopt children, some wait for years simply because there is not enough babies available for adoption.
Just my thoughts on the subject anyway.

why is it that in pictures of the 'new system of things' there always appears in the background a ruddy mountain with snow on it?
and what for petes sake is that lion doing with a ruddy plastic beachball on it's paws, if that gets through the great tribulation, may be my yellow plastic rubber duck for my bath will too!!
what pictures from wt publications really get your goat?.
I don't know about you, but I would indeed be honoured to be featured in a WBTS publication. Perhaps the circumstances are slightly different, however!
I was at the time. Not sure how i feel about it now, just wished that someone had asked me or my parents whether we'd mind, that was all.

The ones i hated was when they dressed JW kids up to look like normal kids, they they had the JW kid looking neat and smart. All i used to think was "what a nerd".
I was in a Awake magazine once. An article about the Dingo. It was the 8th of October 1991 Mag.
My family did not even know it was going to be in there. My grand father whi is a bethelite submitted it. He did'nt even tell us. We found out from friends who rang us.
my ex-wife and i were to start our custody/equalization trial yesterday but due to time constrictions we had a settlement conference instead and it is over!!!!!
woohoo!!!!.
financially, i will end up having to pay $5,000.00 more than what i should.. (only because my ex lied about a few things) but i get joint custody of the kids now.
they have already said stuff that their grandmother has said to them that she of course is not supposed to
Get a tape recorder and tape them, preferably without them knowing. And write it all down. You never know when it will come in handy.
Hope you're havin a great time with your kids.
do you remember when assemblies were more interesting?
as a kid i remember live music (my dad always played at circuit assemblies) you got to hear them tune up and the musicians enjoyed so much giving their talent for those days.
speakers were chosen because they could give good talks and were respected brothers even if they had funny voices, not chosen just because they have a loud deep voice and can read from a script.

Used to love that when I was a kid. Most of my friends used to play, we thought it was great. But i suppose nothing about asseblies can be fun.
do you remember when the baptismal candidates werent inspected in the changing room to make sure they didnt have logos on their swimwear? (i had to turn my tshirt inside out because it had a palm tree on it in 1992 the naziwomen in the changing room almost made me back out .
Never happend here in Melbourne, Australia. I got baptised in 1991 and as long as what you were wearing was modest, logos were never an issue.
do you remember when you could check your appearance in the bathroom mirrors instead of being faced with taped on brown paper.
Goodness me, never has happened here. I bring my makeup to the assembly and put it on when I get there.
It amazes me that how from country to country things can be sooo different. So much for the unity.
