Wish you well for your exhibition. I'm sure it will go well.
I wish i was artistic, don't have an artistic bone in my body, Love going to art galleries
im so nervous...10 of us are exhibiting at a prestigious gallery in the south.was ok but am bricking it now.its in a beautiful georgian house gallery that dickens and thackery regularily visited when it was a house...(you can vote for it on restoration programme bbc2 july 25- or it could close...arts funding crisis looming..remember....art feeds the soul and soothes the mind and is sometimes the most easily accessable social concince/voice.....).
.hope everyone turns up.should have 150-200 people ..invitations have gone out..copious amounts of wine ordered..food bought..have got waitresses sorted out and just got to hope we're well received or we'll all be in the corners drinking and bereft of all our confidence.......i've invited all my local friends most of whom are school teachers or just lovely , so they might justcounteract a friend's over critical father and another's partner who's able to flatten your confidenceat 50 paces....can you tell ive hit the winealready?
lol im throwing them all a party to celebrate the end of this course and the start of the degree next sat so if its a disaster we'll jsut drown our sorrows there...and if we sell any we're all going on holiday together... i'll post if it was a total disaster...and *newsflash* reboot's gonna wear a skirt.....
Wish you well for your exhibition. I'm sure it will go well.

just saw a great news report on how to protect you kids from predators.. it all revolves around a code word.. you and your kids agree on one.
if someone different is to pick your kids up you give then the code word.
if they don't know the word then the kids know that you did not send them.

It all revolves around a code word.
You and your kids agree on one. If someone different is to pick your kids up you give then the code word. If they don't know the word then the kids know that you did not send them. Also if your kids are in trouble they just say the word to you and you know they need help.
Thought it was such a simple but great idea I just had to share.
Any one else out there got any other ideas as to how to keep our kids safe.
Lehaa.
i thought it would be neat if we could see what each others canine, feline, avian, etc.companions look like.... .
here's my love, her name is chelsea, she is 9-1/2 years, and i have had her since she was 8 weeks old.
she is a golden lab mix, thus i affectionately call her "mutt butt" .
The only thing that keeps me from working in a place like that, is I easily become too attached, and could not deal with the euthanasia aspect of the job. There are so many unwanted animals. I wish I could take in every one that I see.....Animals deserve so much better.
I know what you mean I was the same before I started volunteering there. I get attatched to them too. I view i'm there helping them get new homes, i make them all pretty and train them a bit too become more appealing to new owners. I also take my son along, who is great with animals, so they get used to kids as well. The shelter I work at is really good and keeps an animal for as long as it takes to find them a new home.
I can't afford to have any more pets so I figure that this is my way to help all the unwanted animals in the world.
I also let a lot of people know I work there and a lot ahve rung me looking for a new pet so I help them go down and find what they are after.

Guess I'll just have to wait til the New System....
God, biggest reason I wanted to get into the new system when I was a JDUB.
Before my husband and I were separated we were going to sell our house and move to tasmania. We could have afforded to buy 10 acres there and I could have had whatever pets I wanted. I've had in the past, hermit crabs, chooks, guines pids, rabbits and heaps of dogs. Have fostered Kittens from the shelter too.
Thinking about getting a sheep to keep the back lawn mowed. Live on quite a large semi suburban block.
Oh well in the meantime will just have to be satisfied with the work I do and the local refuge and get on with my dreams of being a Vet Nurse.

Her are my baby boys. My cats Blue and Fudge, my budggie Tweety and my biggest baby Rusty.
Unfortunately I lost Rusty last week, he passed away during the nigh.
Would love a whole heap more pets, dogs, sheep, ponies etc but don't have the time of money.
i have a cat that has been with me for 15 years.
he *was* big, and he has 27 toes.
he is dying of fiv, feline immunodeficiency virus... or feline aids.
Athene,
I'm so sorry to hear your sad news. I lost my dog last week so I know how you feel.
My thoughts are with you and send you and your cat a big hug.
Lehaa. XXOO.
i never quite figured out why the sexual urges of men and women differ.
and i never figured out the whole venus and mars thing.
never figured out why men think with their head and women think with.
I love that one, think it's hilarious.
Ohio,
He is soo cute. reminds me of some of my friends after a heavy night out.
