speaking as someone who believed it all right up until about a year after i was df'd i just cannot understand the reasoning of people who don't go out on field service, don't go to meetings, don't participate or believe and still stay in the organisation.. i know that it is hard to leave, it's made to be hard, but some of the postings on this site make me think that it must be harder still living a lie and keeping up the pretense.. if you don't believe, why would you want to conform to all the petty rules and subject yourself to men that you don't believe have any authority.. i really do hope that as soon as possible you can all take a deep breath and finally be true to yourself.. zaphod
I know it may be hard to understand, but if you picture your kids growing up without their family you may understand.
A lot of people stay because of ther family.
I know it may be narrow minded but the one who chooses to leave is the one who rocks the boat. The one who makes it hard.
Sometimes it is easier to remian silent untill the children in the family are old enough to understand.
Although i'm out it makes it harder for my kids to spend time with the family they love.

when people post to jwd, do you make an effort to understand "who" they are and take an interest in their wellbeing, or are they just 'ghosts in a machine' there to entertain you?
do the people here fall somewhere in-between for you?

I definately see everyone as real.
I often think during the day about them too.
i know so many people, not just witnesses that are on zoloft or similar drugs.
i know of some that, once they left the "truth", stopped taking these meds and have not had to go back on them.
i know of some that, if they did not have them, would not be able to properly function......what about you?

Started just after my good dub husband had an innapropriate relationship with my best friend. Our firstborn was 7 months old. He's now 7.
Was already battling PND.
Started on cipramil, went to a higher dose.
Then while I was going through my marriage breakup and disfellowshipping was diagnosed with bi-polar disorded. Started on a low dose of Lexapro, then bumped it up to a higher dose when my dub husband became violent.
Now that I'm fully out I'm stable, but still have to take my little white pill every morning.
as many of you are aware i organise the ex jw meetup group here in melbourne, australia.. th organisers of the meetup boars have made a few changes, including charging a monthly fee, so we have moved our group.

I think you believe in god or you don't.
As humans we tend to believe in what we believe in no matter what.
There are many theories and facts to back up the fact that god exists, and there are many to disprove this.
It is what each of us choose to do with theese facts determines whether we believe in god or not.
For some people the truth can be staring them straight in the face or slapping them straight between the eyes, only of they choose to acklowledge this slap will they then believe.
