The Vikings don't have a prayer. I watched them yesterday and I was embarassed for them!

ok...i just don't understand this.
i am getting married in a few months and i thought this would be the happiest part of my life.
right now it is the most agonizing!
I feel for you. I am getting married in a few months and my mother told me she would not attend if I intended on living with my fiancee before marriage. I never confirmed that I am living with him and I will send her the invitation for her and my dad. I am anticipating that they will not come and I don't have any words of wisdom to share about being okay with them not attending.

this movie was soo funny!
it has us laughing from start to finish.. i highly recommend it!.
aviator was good too.
I never saw Meet the Parents, but I enjoyed the Fockers.
Just saw the movie "Sideways" the other day. I found it different, but entertaining. I think I have to take a wine tasting class now.

i use to think that going door to door had its hazardous moments, but the time i was bitten by a dog wow.
that was scary.
i still can't figure out why the mutt bit me as i love animals.
Oh yeah, I knew a brother (now disfellowshipped) who was bitten in service twice. Both times he sued the homeowner and one. LOL Maybe that is why he was DF'd.

Never bitten, but out in service me and my partner went into a fenced yard. We opened the fence door and waited to see if a dog was in there and when we determined there was no dog we proceeded forward. Well, there really WAS a dog and I (who was behind my partner) hightailed it back to the door and let it close behind me leaving my partner inside. LMAO I didn't do it purposely -- the door just closed behind me. I still laugh thinking about it. Fortunately the dog didn't bite, but it did give my service partner a scare.

i am so angry - i've been a long term lurker here and an occasional poster but i have just got to offload tonight.
mom and i have never been 'in the truth' but my dad and 2 brothers are.
tonight my dad told me that last night he resigned as an elder (which for me personally is great) but the reason is that because both my parents have health issues, especially mom, my dad has been given 6 months to get his act together and put some more hours in field service as he is 'not leading by example'.
A good vent does a body good! I don't have any words of wisdom -- but I do feel your anger. I have had flare ups of anger in the past two weeks mainly due to family issues. I hope your dad sees what a crock of crap the JW religion is and that he devotes more time to your mother. Best to her too.

I would love to have a SF/Northern California Apostafest -- however, February 6th is Superbowl Sunday so we might have a problem with that date.

the details of who to send a gift to will be getting pm'd to you all either friday afternoon or saturday morning!
according to the information i've found online the last posting day for standard parcels is dec 11th for usa and december 15th for the uk/europe, so you should all have plenty of time to select and send a gift, although sending sooner rather than later is prefered.
can everyone taking part post on this thread what things they like, what their interests are etc so that the person who is buying a gift for you has some idea what to get you.
You are welcome Kat.
I never got my secret santa gift.
I still have hope that it will arrive.
