does anyone else experience this or is it just me?
my jw mom just called and said she wanted me to call her back on my lunch break...but she didn't say why....so now i'm all nervous and worried, wondering what it is....did i get found out on this site by a lurker?...is there something wrong in the family?....i don't know!!!
now i have this awful knot in the pit of my stomach that's going to stay there until i find out what the hell's going on........does (or has) anyone else have this experience with their jw mom or dad...where they say they want to talk to you, and u have to sweat it out until they're ready?.......
I cannot stand when someone does this to me. While I was dating my husband he would say "we have to talk later" and I was like WE ARE TALKING RIGHT NOW. I worry about everything. I wonder if that from being in such a controlling religion -- always afraid you would be in trouble for some stupid offense.
I am glad it worked out for you Kitty -- however, in the future I would make a stand and ask her to tell me RIGHT NOW so you can avoid that awful feeling.

toughest question anyone can ask, if the love of your life, and mate/wife/husband/boyfriend/girlfriend messed around on you, whether it be once or for years, how would you handle it and what would you do, think about it slowly and carefully.. wouldn't wish it upon my worst enemy.. it's said that 50 % of marriages are affected by an affair, it's probaly alot higher.. did you notice any affairs in your congregation ???.
i look back now, and think, oh yeah there was.
I have a friend who found out her BF had cheated on her. She forgave him because she was afraid of going on in life without him. But she has some SERIOUS trust issues now. I find it very sad.
I have thought about this question before and we have even discussed. I told my husband that if cheated on me that would be it -- I can't imagine living in a marriage without trust -- it would no longer be a marriage.

how's the transition going in your life from faithful jw to ex?
for me, it's pretty good.
no one has called me and that's good.
I am so much happier now. No one has called me either -- and that is very good. My wedding is in two days and my parents are not attending because of my choice of "lifestyle". It would bother their conscience to attend. Oh well -- their loss.

This may seem like a naive question. . . . but what does the WTS do with the money? Are they hoarding it and buying yachts in the Mediterranean? Seriously -- does anyone know what they do with the money?

i'm just assessing the sum of the madness that happened since my parents guilt-tripped me into confessing what got me disfellowshipped.
i do very sharply recall that at the moment i decided to do so i had an overwhelming feeling of relief which at the time i thought was me hating the lying about what i'd done and wanting to come clean about that and clear my conscience as a witness, but have since thought might have been me hating the lying about how i feel about the organisation and wanting to come clean about that as a human, ie, whether i'd turned the corner as a witness or i was glad to be getting away from it.
First time: I was caught, confessed and then promptly DF'd and my life as I knew it was destroyed.
Second time: I was caught, ran like hell and was never DF'd. Now I am happier than ever.

here in the "arctic" northeast, people are beginning to wear their sandals again.
i hate sandal season.. there are a few people with good hygeine and ok looking feet that can pull off the sandal look.
the rest should not be allowed into public without socks and shoes.. i am sick of seeing callouses, dry skin with foot flakes falling off, dirty feet, even worse--dirty toenails, toenails that have not been trimmed (i do not want to see anything but nails trimmed all the way down), corns, fungus, bunions, deformations, etc.
rofl! How about the guys who think its okay to walk around in 3 inch shorts with a tanktop and sndals with black socks. God i hate this town, lol.
Sandals with ANY kind of socks should be illegal. And what about the women who where nylons with opened toed shoes. Big no no!

i remember "let god be true" - 'babylon the great has fallen'- and 'paradise restored - paradise regained' [the big orangish/pink book - hope i got the name right] - all 50's early 60's books.
Yep -- the orange Paradise book. Funny, I don't remember being in fear of the pictures in that book. Maybe I was "desensitized" by the WTS at an early age.

let me start by saying that i am a huge animal lover.
i have a dog, a cat and i recently lost a cat who was very old.
yesterday, my fiancee was working on his house and as he was doing "demo work", he found a nest of kittens.
