LOL, doodle-v!!
I love reading experiences like this.
Gives me good ideas if I'm ever faced in a similar situation.
Next time invite them in so that they can be sitting comfortably when you tear them to shreads.

Welcome, bruv!
That's 1 hell of a deep post!
If I can come up with some advice or encouragement for you I'll be re-posting.
Meantime, I know leaving something like the WTS can have a major impact at first. It can turn your life upside down!
Just try to ignore the negative and focus on the positive - it is false and you don't have to be part of it anymore.
Easier said than done, I know, but that is the situation you, and most people here, are/were in at some time. The reality can be tough to face but its also a release into freedom.

What an ironic night I've had....

Tatiana, darlin,
there are some proper f*ing w***ers on this planet!
Maybe the bloke crashed his car in his getaway! Maybe I'm evil but sometimes the ****s deserve it!
If I catch the bastard who nicked my shelf speakers that took me long enuff to make, I'd wring his neck!
Sorry, you probably don't need a bitter reply to this post!
Chin up, don't let scum get to you!

Would You Care If You Got Disfellowshipped At This Point In Time?
by minimus injust wondering....

Personally I couldn't give a #?*%. It wouldn't make a difference to my life, if I only had myself to worry about, or association with the witnesses.
But, having an unbaptised gfriend, who is working towards baptism, and baby living in a JW household, it would cause all sorts of problems!
I definitely don't want to end up in the same situation as Flash!!!!!
Undercover and BluesBrother hit the nail right on the head with their comments. I could cope with my family shunning me - if their cult is more important to them than their family then they can stuff their conditional loyalty - but losing my daughter would finish me off!! Hopefully, the plans I have in place will sort out any long term risks.
Mulan - Good Luck!
galaxy7 - Nice 1!
In summary, Odrade put it perfectly:
Stupid f***ing religion.
P.S. ruby, my friend, are you still a JW or what is your situation at the moment?

POLL: If you're not actively a Christian - do you celebrate Easter?
by somebodylovesme ini actually forgot it was easter this weekend.
someone mentioned it yesterday, and i was pretty embarassed to have missed that little line on my calendar.
oh, well; since we are not practicing any religion and feel no more affinity toward christianity than toward, say, sikhism, i felt no ache in not partaking in the bunny-rabbit traditions.
