I think anyone who loves Christ and lives the principles he taught and committing those teachings to the love and caring for humanity is what this calling is about. It has nothing to do with Watchtower, or any other religion with it's legalistic rules and judgements, and hypocritical leaders. The perfect example of what I am talking about is Mother Theresa. She came out of a legalistic religion but she was a humanitarian with the Christlike teachings he taught. Even her writings were simple but profound as far as the love that Christ was talking about. Her life and works spoke for what she was and I would bet she is an annointed one that was spoken about. IMO

To those desiring to be of the anointed..
by kes152 inthe invitation to be of the anointed is offered to anyone, for the scripture says, "many are called, but few are chosen" (matthew 22:14).. the call is to anyone who wishes to be of the anointed and many respond to the heavenly calling.
but upon finding out what is needed and what is done, only few are the ones who choose to keep the anointing and remain in it.
others do not want to give up their 'possessions' and 'return to the things behind' (luke 18:22, 23; john 6:66).

This has some info regarding JW's twisting the scripture in Jeramiah and likening it to the christmas tree.

Hello everyone, I wanted to check in and share with you my feelings about the off Broadway show we were invited to see. It was an excellent tribute to dear Richard and Frances Rawe and thier struggles of faith as Jehovah's Witnesses. I was deeply moved by their story and found myself relating to it on many levels. My hubby and I were amazed to see how well life within the congregations was captured, and it brought up so much emotion to see how this couple finally were "demonized for simply following thier conscience rather than the corruption within this mind controling religion. Though Jehovah's Witnesses were never mentioned, the play touched on the painful issues Witnesses face within the cult. The play is running for 2 weeks I believe and I hope that if any of you have the chance to go and see it. We also had the pleasure to meet some familiar faces from the March. Some were from the JWD and we had fun socializing at the opening night party afterward.

The only time the Society encourages college is when they send thier own bethelites to law school to become thier lawyer sharpies to fight for thier rights in court, and to fight the victims of sexual abuse.

Gumby, I am with you. They are not my favorite dog either. In fact I can't stand the little rat shits. I live next door to two of the little snarling darlings. One day I came home and found them in my yard snarling and ripping at my 22 yr old cat that they had killed and torn to pieces. There was nothing but blood and chunks of skin and hair and bloody paw marks all over the pool area and going up my back steps. I ran out crying and my english bull dog, laboradore retriever, and little pug followed me out. The two little rat shit terriers, began marking urine all around my dead kitty, then came at me. One went for my leg, and the other went for my pug's throat. Thank goodness my english bull dog tore after them and chased them back home. My husband called the copswho arrived with me sitting next to my lifeless friend and family member for 22 years.

WOULD YOU GIVE THE JW'S THIS?
by integ ina jw relative brought out something i actually had to agree with.
we were discussing positive vs. negative aspects of the "truth".
she brought out that the witnesses do not participate in war, and i thought 'gee, that's probably a good thing'.
-
ARoarer
Hi Integ,
I don't think it is such a good thing that they don't participate in war. Many have fought bravely to protect our borders and keep it safe for our children to grow up in a country without the threats of cruel dictators. These young soldiers have layed down their lives so that thier familys can have the freedom enjoyed in this country. I believe that as the Bible says, that no greater love than this that one lay down his life in behalf of another.
