For fun list how you feel Watchtower is the Anti-Christ

on studying the bible in the past and learning watchtower's definitions of false doctrine, i have been able to reason now when i compare these teachings to be anti christian.

i read another post that listed all of their articles that make the "trinity" of jehovah, his word and the organiztion.

after viewing the articles listed it made me feel how against christ they really are, even though they give lip service to him.

On studying the Bible in the past and learning Watchtower's definitions of false doctrine, I have been able to reason now when I compare these teachings to be anti Christian. I read another post that listed all of their articles that make the "trinity" of Jehovah, his Word and the Organiztion. After viewing the articles listed it made me feel how against Christ they really are, even though they give lip service to him. Comparing thier view of Jehovah, his Word and Spirit, and his Organization, (which doesn't even mention Christ), I am more inclined to believe in the Christian teaching of the Trinity. So one of the ways I feel Watchtower is Anti Christ, is that it has substituted the Organization as mankinds only mediator between God and man.

the last little while there have been many talks on sex at the sunday meetings.

it is sickening!

they are very explicit in nature.. don't they realize that there are many children in the audience that are not really ready to hear this particular information?.

Celebrating Christmas in Secret with "Apostates" Comments Please?

((((IWasDuped)))) I remember for several years I would celebrate in secret also, because I had so many very dear friends in the org. and didn't want to stumble them or risk the consequences of discipline for me and my family. Looking back on that I have learned two things. 1, it gave a mixed message to my children, and 2, in the end the people who I thought were dear friends, in reality were not. Jehovah's Witnesses do not understand what real friendship is. The tell you they "love" you while they succomb to messages of hatred and intolerance. A perfect example of this is the latest message of hatred and intolerance in thier recent WT against those who left their organization. You are doing a good thing by disconnecting from such damaging teachings.

I think that the reason for so many sex talks with the graphic nature is because of the fact that those who originate these manuscripts are all perverts themselves and have no regard for the little innocent ones in the audience. Proof of this, you just have to read the new childrens publication. The wording in this book seems as if it was authored by pedophiles.

Celebrating Christmas in Secret with "Apostates" Comments Please?

I hope you all enjoyed your Christmas!!! Well, in spite of being pretty sick before and during Christmas with a sinus infection that spread to my optic nerve, and not being able to enjoy shopping and going to the Christmas parties my hubby and I were invited to, I had an extremely enjoyable Christmas with my children anyway. Being stuck in the house left a lot of time to decorate. My adult children, who are not disfellowhipped, but have chosen to leave the WT, are married to spouses who have JW parents and relatives. My daughter's in laws are elders, elderettes, pioneers, missionaries, bethelites.. Consequently, they celebrate Christmas in secret with us because not wanting to be officially df'd and shunned by the family. So even though we get together and celebrate and exchange gifts around the Christmas tree, and enjoy this day totally, they are unable to show outwardly that they participate in this holiday, and all other holidays, and birthdays. This is really sad how Watchtower reaches it's long "arm" into families trying to shed those twisted doctrines and lead normal lives. I am so glad my kids chosen to "leave" this awful religion. My son, who's in laws are JW's have been a little more open about celebrating and decorating, and this year even exchanged gifts with JW in laws. In view of all the good of this, I cringe at the ariticle about "Apostates" in the recent Watchtower magazine. Has anyone else here had to celebrate Christmas with exiting JW relatives in secret because of the df'ing issue?

Losing our dog Kate....she was unique.

to me today was the saddest day for a long while.

kate my sisters dog developed a strange cough a week ago and so we too her to the vets and he gave her a steroid and antibiotic injection and kept her in for 4 days, she was diaganosed with "collapsed trachea syndrome" she was a yorkshire terrier and apparently this is common in small dogs like this.. my dad is a carpet fitter, and just over 2 years ago he was doing a job in a house close by and the woman that owned kate at the time kicked her as she walked past her and cussed at her as she cowered, dad was appalled and said he'd take her, which he did, and jane (my sister) took her in and spoiled her rotten.

this little bundle of nerves really developed into a fantastic little dog, she looked like a little rat to be honest!

Collapsed Trachea Syndrome. Wow how devasating an experience you and your little Kate went through. We have a little Pug and he suddenly lost the mobility of his front legs and could not walk very well without being carried. We brought him to our vet and they said he had a stroke and would soon be somewhat better but would never walk the way he used to. A few weeks later he began coughing and choking and we were up with him all night. We brought him to our vet again and he said there was nothing he could do because he had collapsed trachea syndome. We were annoyed because we were hoping he could be given something for it. He ended up having another severe attack and we brought him in the middle of the night to an animal hospital a few towns away. They kept him over night and did an MRI on him to make sure he had not tumors and they said he had a collapsed trachia that had probably caused the stroke from lack of oxygen. We did not want to put him through surgery because he is 11. They kept him overnight in an oxygen tent to help him breathe and gave him a drug called aminophyllin. The next day he was better. This happened 2 more times with trips in the middle of the night with the dog not breathing. I could not bear the thought of life without him. The doctors their were so wonderful. They got to know him and after the next time they told us that they would like to try him on the drug for the rest of his life. He has been on it since last Spring and has not had an episode since. I am grateful for any more time left with my little friend and family member. I am so sorry you lost Kate. We have also had to put to sleep 2 other dogs in the last 2 years. Kayla and Golieth. They were old Labs with cancer. Mother and son. It is so sad when we lose our beloved pets.

To those desiring to be of the anointed..

the invitation to be of the anointed is offered to anyone, for the scripture says, "many are called, but few are chosen" (matthew 22:14).. the call is to anyone who wishes to be of the anointed and many respond to the heavenly calling.

but upon finding out what is needed and what is done, only few are the ones who choose to keep the anointing and remain in it.

others do not want to give up their 'possessions' and 'return to the things behind' (luke 18:22, 23; john 6:66).

I think anyone who loves Christ and lives the principles he taught and committing those teachings to the love and caring for humanity is what this calling is about. It has nothing to do with Watchtower, or any other religion with it's legalistic rules and judgements, and hypocritical leaders. The perfect example of what I am talking about is Mother Theresa. She came out of a legalistic religion but she was a humanitarian with the Christlike teachings he taught. Even her writings were simple but profound as far as the love that Christ was talking about. Her life and works spoke for what she was and I would bet she is an annointed one that was spoken about. IMO
