  (because almost everyone recognizes that Moore, rather than trying to spread "truth" just hates Bush...

  Blanket statement alert!..."everyone" recognizes? I guess I am not everyone then. For the sake of argument, even if Moore hates Bush, does that make his evidence untrue?? Attack the message not the messenger.

  By the way, Yeru, you never answered my questions about freedom and the feelings you have as a military man. Is that what made you feel unwelcome? I hope not, because I thought they were legitimate questions.

  Do you make active witnesses uncomfortable?

  this weekend my wife and i visited with another couple, who although they are inactive, they also invited active witinesses to the their home along with us.

  we knew most of the people there and they are aware that we are inactive - no big deal.

  however there was one brother who did not know that were are inactive.

  Without her knowledge I have supported her in several disputes and I have not allowed her to be terminated when we techincally had the grounds. In my opinion the accusation was unsupported by an objective eye

  Now that is a proper display of "brotherly affection" and humanity right there. You are the better person and should be commended for being professional despite the rejection that you have felt from the "sister". I am sure she would do the same for you if she were in your position right? (tongue planted firmly in cheek)

  First, I didn't "cry." I voiced my personal opinion of Mr. Moore and his ilk.

  I wasn't referring to your opinion when I said you were crying. I was referring to this:

  Second, I didn't assume anything. My statement was:

  If someone comes on your thread and says Bill O'Reilly is a fat head, is ugly, is a liar, and a righty version of Goerbels, you might understand what everyone is saying about ad hominem attacks. You would have a problem with that, nay?

  Notice the use of a queston mark indicating that I am open for a response...not assuming anything.

  Lastly:

  I certainly didn't intend to "hijak" any thread. I thought that this was an open forum, and I could voice that opinion.

  It is an open forum... but you started attacking Moore's appearance etc. and were called on it by Patio. A few posts later you went into a statement about people attacking Bush:

  Isn't funny how those that are so willing to through around the ad hominems when it comes to Conservatives don't like it when the tables are turned on them?

  That is a good old fashioned hijack.

  By the way, I have never attacked Bush's appearance or called him a liar when a discussion of his politics and decisions are considered. I laugh when threads are started (like today) that compare his appearance to a chimpanzee, but not when we are talking about policy. If I did, then you could accuse me of an ad hominem attack on Bush.

  If you would stop the "persecuted conservatives" drum beating I think it would allow you to see what happened. I, for one, am glad there are others that have a different opinion than mine. It makes for great discussion and I enjoy it, as long as it is productive...which I think is the point that Patio was making about the whole ad hominem attack...it's unproductive.

  But....not everyone is like you and me. I am just as certain that some Witnesses already experiencing some of the things that Danny describes will see the clarity of the rest of their lives in such focus because Danny tells it like it is.

  Exactly, Leolaia. I thought that nothing would seperate me from the "Truth" until they turned on me...then I understood why so many people had left, never to come back. Danny is reaching people, no doubt about it. There are those that understand that anger quite well and will respond.

  It's anger towards the organization, not hate towards ordinary Witnesses, that he's expressing. He has every right to feel the way he does and it's his story he's telling, so I beg to differ with your dismissal of the way he tells his story as mere "antics"...
