Stopping the WT
by Celtic intaking a leaf out of the book from the road protest camps and other campaingning groups against this and that which i have been involved with, it occured to me the other day perhaps one of the most effective means of stopping the wt in it's tracks is to halt the litureture distribution system they employ, i.e.
in the uk setting up a protest camp right outside their bittacy hill complex, to actually stop the trucks from entering onto the roadway, if no one is up for that, how about tipping bagfuls of sugar in their lorry deisel tanks?
any other ideas?

No better way to use my 666th post than to think of ideas of how to stop the WT!
Get a bunch of WT covers, and make up our own magazine innards full of websites regarding all the latest scandals-Pedophilia, UN, etc. and leave them at the Dr's offices and laundromats.
Go to a meeting pretending to be interested, but beforehand eat a Broccoli, cabbage, brussel sprout, cheese chilidog casserole smothered with hot sauce, and sit quietly in the meeting letting SBD's. (this probably wouldn't stop the WT, but it would probably send some Bros. and Sisters to an early grave, thereby reducing numbers....
Start our own Ex-JW field Ministry, knocking on doors of all the Dubs, spreading the "Real" Truth....
Or, we can just sit back with smiling faces, knowing that they will one day be the End of themselves, one nail at a time!!!!

Finish this Sentence- JW's are good liars because.......
by doodle-v in.
because they are brainwashed into thinking that "distorting the truth" is ok in circumstance involved in defending their faith-theocratic warfare.
they constantly lie to themselves about what kind of person they really are and deny themselves life's pleasures-hence the "double life syndrome" lie to friends at school, lie to elders, lie to people in the cong.

I thought it was really strange when the Org. defined what a lie was. They said that a lie was not a lie if it was said to someone who didn't deserve to know the truth-something to that effect-close enough. A lie is a lie is a lie!!! I do have to give them credit? though, for the way that they are able to twist anything imaginable around in order to suit their own needs. I think a good description would be PATHOLOGICAL...

One more victory for the Christians and it sucks!!!
by Atilla ini saw that today the supreme court threw out the case with the atheist father arguing that the under god phrase in the pledge of allegiance was unconstitutional.
i guess the case was thrown out on a technicality because the daughter does not live with her father but with her christian mother thus making the father's case invalid.
i knew about this case but i did not realize that is was dubbie prez.

One nation,
Indivisible,
With liberty and justice for all.Interesting point, Seattleniceguy.
If one thinks about it, by having the phrase "Under God" right before "Indivisible" seems to make a contradictory statement, as the fact that "God"-(and the belief or disbelief of therein) many times is the very cause of Division amongst people in our nation!
ThiChi, you may find this site from the Library of Congress interesting Regarding Jefferson's Slaves....For wanting to abolish slavery so bad, he sure did seem to have enough of them....

Welcome to the Board.
You will be receiving a lot of advice to "Run for the hills"-Please take that advice and do not look back, lest you become a pillar of salt!
It is a tough situation you are in. If she is truly one of Jehovah's Witnesses, and you do become involved, you will have heartache ahead of you, as the organization will be her number one priority, you will be last. Please take the time to look at the other threads on here, and you will get an idea of what really goes on "Behind closed doors" in that organization. The news is not very pleasant. I wish you the best, and hope that you really research, and think things through....

There are two reasons why I'd go back to the JWs...
by logansrun ini was thinking about this the other day in response to the question, "am i coming back?
" put forward by jw who called me (a former friend).
i said that i would not answer that question since it would put her in an uncomfortable position.

Interesting.
For me, the damage has already been done. Even if somehow it were discovered that they actually did have the "Truth"-(Fat chance), I still would rather die, knowing the irreversible heartache that they have caused myself and others. I no longer believe in any type of Religion that involves an "Omnipotent" God, and am having a very hard time believing in a "God" at all for that matter. Growing up in the Org. I truly loved and believed-(Past tense) in Jehovah. But, just as I would not be in an abusive relationship with a partner, I also choose to not be in a relationship with anyone, be it a friend, a "God", an Organization, or anything else that would destroy my (Or other's) life by causing pain, and wreaking havoc to one's very existence.
