I hate organ meats!
I guess for me, that would depend....
I Like Dolmades-(Stuffed Grape Leaves), most people that I know that have tried them, don't like them, which is OK, because it leaves more for me!!!

i'm having a really wierd day today.
for some reason i've been sitting at my computer for about an hour with a strange feeling of needing to get something out of my head and onto the page.
normally i can type it out and feel great relief, but today i can't seem to identify what it is.
I have always found the topic very interesting. From what I have heard, there seems to be a more spiritual side than in most religions, and have always appreciated that things in nature tend to be revered, ie; earth, sun, moon, and things that the earth provides for our sustenance and enjoyment, rather than the worship of a single deity. Another interesting fact is that it has been around way before Christianity. It would be something that I would like to learn more about one day. Thanks for sharing the info!
i read this article in the montreal gazette that talked about a young witness kid being bullied in school.
it made me think back to all the times i was treated differently in school for being a jehovah's witness.
i grew up in a predominately mexican community and went to public school there from 1st-12th grade as a jw.
My life in School was a living hell! There were no other JW's at my school, and from grade one til I left school at 16 to pioneer, I was taunted, beaten up, spit on, gum in hair, tripped, stuck with pins, burning matches flung at me. I was literally a walking Voodoo doll! and was even met by a gang of girls beating me up after school, almost on a daily basis. I was taught never to hit back, which only made matters worse. Constantly having to excuse myself to the library whenever there was a birthday party or Holiday celebration, and leaving the classroom, and standing outside during the Pledge made me very different, and the other kids could not understand it. Not to mention the fact that I felt it was my duty to "Witness" to the other kids. The teachers were even at their wit's end, as they would see what was happening, but could only do so much. I think that may be why I still have issues with self-esteem.
i've lived here for about 1 1/2 years and haven't seen a single jw.
i read all the posts where there have been run-ins, people called on, elders talked to, etc.
and couldn't hardly wait for my turn.
Good for you. I think that shows that you are healing. I do not know what it is, but the past 2 months, I have encountered them at the door, The post office, and the parking lot at the supermarket, it's like roaches coming outta the woodwork!. I likewise had fantasies of being not-so-nice, but when I was approached, I just said "No Thanks", and that was it, although afterwards, I thought to myself, Why did I let them off so easy!!! Maybe one day I will have some fun......
dear forum members,.
i?ve read and re-read the responses you all gave to me regarding my jw friend, or past friend as it were.
i?ve followed the links provided by some and have truly gained more knowledge about the way the jw?s treat their followers.
We hope to help in any way we can! We are all in this together. You will find lots of encouragement here!
note: i was lazy and did not spell check this because it's getting late and i'm tired......
gawd... i forgot just how mind numbing those things are.
you all owe me!!!
Yes, that was a very noble sacrifice on your part. Thanks for the info.
Did anyone notice on page 3, CONTRIBUTIONS-It is the longest paragraph in the whole program!!!
Ranch,

as much information, insight and entertainment this forum provides, some things about its format and design have come to annoy me.
let me start by saying that i think one of the biggest weaknesses of this forum may be the active topics option at the top.
it seems to me that some people may use this option just to see which topics are still alive.
Methinks that the guy with the avatar of the be-headed man needs to just chill out and go with the flow, and enjoy the diversity of individual people, and realize that having a melting-pot of opinions only makes this site more enjoyable, rather than it being a mundane, run of the mill debate forum for only intellectual minds.
I just dislike the lazy responses that shun honest, genuine thought (which, often, does not take any great amount of speculation to form).
Maybe what you feel are "Lazy responses" are really genuine, honest, responses. Some people including myself, find it hard sometimes to correctly articulate words and responses, but does not mean that it is not honest or genuine. I for one, was pulled out of high school at 16 by my parents to start pioneering. Therefore, I cannot respond to a comment as intelligently as someone who has been to college, and has degrees and doctorates. That should not make my opinion, or anyone elses, any less valuable.

back in the 1930's, the watchtower had a special task for all the congregations (at that time called companies!
) they were to have people clip box tops from cereal boxes!
these box tops were then gathered and sent off to the society.. i believe that at the time, box tops could be redeamed for cash $$$$.
It doesn't surprise me a bit-And my guess as to the most popular box tops came from Frosted "Flakes"!!!
