I guess that it is Okay to eat them. Heck, even Jehovah himself got off on the smell of the painful, bloody, burnt Animal sacrifices that he demanded of his people. It couldn't just be any Animal though, it had to be the youngest and the best. Yep, only the best would do for the bloodthirsty god of the Israelites. The literary value and brilliance of his words were right up there with Franklin and Thomas Paine. Perhaps the reason that some disliked Mr. Hitchens so much was that his arguments challenged people to actually think about and question their own belief systems, causing them discomfort, as his words made too much sense.

Any Texas Lawyers in the House (or anyone else)? Need advice
by TheClarinetist ini'm too stressed out right now to write this as anything more than what basically amounts to a series of bulletin points, but here goes anyway.. girlfriend burned down kitchen.. landlord wants money for repairs (obviously, no issue there) by december 5th.. landlord is attempting to apply security deposit to repairs in order to force us to pay all repair money within the next 10 days (over $1600) per the lease.
is that legal without our permission?
also, can she make us pay before she's paid anything?.

Before you rag on the Clarinetist (even moreso than you already have), the least you could do is read what he said. He has ALL intentions on paying, and he is not trying to screw anyone. He is making it his main priority to get this resolved, and I congratulate him on stepping up to the plate to get this taken care of. I would hate to have you as a landlord, you sound very unreasonable and quick to jump to false conclusions. I feel sorry for your tenants, and I hope that they never do anything to piss you off.

Aguest and Cagefighter have come up with some great points, as well as some others here. I am sorry that you are going through this. We went through the same type of situation when we rented out our home. They burnt the garage down, and refused to pay rent after that. They ended up trashing our home so badly that we ended up bankrupt, and our $115,000 home ended up selling for only $4,000, that is how badly they destroyed it. I wish that we would have had a responsible tenant such as yourself who is trying to correct things. I think that an attorney is a good idea. Perhaps there is a legal aid in your area that won"t charge too much yet you will still be able to have legal councel. I think that the landlord should give you an itemized bill, but maybe I would not push it too much if she is willing to let things slide for $1600. I would make sure though that you get it in writing that after that $1600, you are free and clear from any other charges. $1600 for a new kitchen sounds very cheap. Nowadays it is easy to spend that just on new cabinet fronts. An attorney will be able to guide you. Above all, try to stay nice to her, even if she is getting snappy with you. She is probably stressed out over this too. It is her kitchen after all...

Rebel and Tal, that is interesting information about the enemas. I still try to figure out why I got them so often, especially due to the fact that I had regular BM's without getting them. As I mentioned before, it is one of the memories that I have carried with me, as it was so uncomfortable. I am left wondering if it could also be due to an Obsessive personality, which my mother had. Everything had to be spotless, and there couldn't be disorder anywhere. Everything had its place. I also know that sex was dirty to her, every time that my parents had sex, she would immediately get up to douche and shower. (I knew waaaay to much about my parents private lives) Anything to do with a "Penis" or other private areas would gross her out. Maybe that is why she was the way she was with the enemas, and that they were a cleansing thing. When she taught me how to clean myself, she would concentrate on my nether regions, and they would get scrubbed a lot more than anything else, and her facial expressions when it came to my penis was indescribable. I could tell that it was really gross to her, yet she would have me "Rub" her, knowing that I was so close to her own private areas. It doesn't make sense...
AdaMakawee, are you comfortable enough to discuss your experiences any further? If not, I can totally understand, as it is a very sensitive subject. If you do though it may help both of us and any others who encountered similar things to understand the why's. I would have never mentioned my experiences, but when you did, it made me feel better in the fact that I found out that I was not alone in that regard.
I feel so bad that others have gone through similar things. Reading some of the experiences makes my eyes water. I am sorry that so many have been hurt throughout their lives. I send positive thoughts and healing energy to each and every one of you.
