If they could only find a way to harness all of their "Hot Air" into energy, they wouldn't have to worry about it!

How will gas prices affect the Watchtower Society?
by truthseeker inezekiel3 posted an interesting tidbit about max larson stopping the printing... .
president of the wtbts max larson formally stops the press at jehovah's witnesses' printery in brooklin, ny.
pictured below is press #4. with the sale of the furman street building and shipping methods changed to road freight, jws seems posed to evacuate their brooklin headquaters.

To me, the word digestive turns me off, I guess it would be like seeing a box of "Salivary Saltines", or "Belchy Crisps"!!!

How Does It Feel Knowing That You Were Once A Member Of A Cult???

Yes, it definately still does have an impact on my life. I feel very little guilt anymore, but still I have not really 100% adjusted to the "World". It seems like I never will, as the Borg had such an impact on my life. I just plug away at life, doing the best that I am able, and often find myself wishing that I had never been a part of that Org. I think that I will never be completely "Deprogrammed", but over the years my depression has gotten a little better, and am able to deal with things that come up more rationally. Yes, being in that environment totally sucked butt, but am learning to make the best of a bad situation, and trying not to dwell on the past as much.

The Termination of the WTS
by richard injust suppose ... the wts will cease to exist.
then this forum has lost its right to exist.
how would you deal with this void in your life?

If that were to happen, and one could only pray that it does..., I do not think that sites like these would be obsolete. The fact is, with the majority of us, the damage has been done already to us spiritually, emotionally, loss of families, etc. That cannot change. Most of us have something in common, and that is being ex-Jehovah's Witnesses. We will always be ex-JW's, even if the borg does fall into oblivion, and methinks that sites like these would be a stepping stone for all of the disillusioned ones that would no longer have the so called "Truth", and would need people such as ourselves to help them overcome the influences of the WBTS.

25th Anniversary of Twinkie Defense/San Francisco Riots
by Swan injust in case any of you history or legal buffs aren't already aware of it, the white night riots occurred 25 years ago today, may 21, 1979. the riots occurred when dan white's legal team was successful in using the "twinkie defense" to acquit him of the premeditated murders of mayor moscone and city supervisor milk.
the argument was that dan white ate too many twinkies.
it was his sugar laden diet that caused him to enter city hall through a window with a gun, go up to the mayor's office, kill him, and then go to milk's office and kill him too.

Yes, it was a really crazy situation. Dan White was able to get off with only 6 years in prison, due to a diminished capacity-(Twinkie) defense due to a sugar rush, instead of getting life, or the death penalty. I find it ludicrous how people who are guilty as sin, can get off on such silly notions. Harvey Milk will live forever though through history, and what he did for Gay rights.
CJ-of the better be careful of how many Ding-Dongs I eat class....
