An experiment in self-empowerment - Any Volunteers?
by Frannie Banannie ini need volunteers for this experiment, but i'll explain what it's about first....you'll find it's gonna be easier for some than others.
this is about the power of sound and the power of written and/or spoken words and their affect on our environment.
within the last 30 years an instrument called an eidophone was discovered.

A special message for everyone who was young in1969....
by Elsewhere inif you are a young person, you also need to face the fact that you will never grow old in this present system of things?
.all evidence in fulfillment of bible prophecy indicates that this corrupt system is due to end in a few years?
as a young person you will never fulfill any career that this system offers.

We could all look back and cry "wasted years" as JWs. I've done it myself, but it serves no purpose. Better to look ahead - and even better still to live in the moment that we have now. I'm a young 50-year old looking to be around for at least another 30 years. I have a Buddhist friend who's 70 but doesn't look a day over 60 and acts more my own age. Life is just beginning.......................

I so agree with this statement ! What an inspiration ! Great attitude too.
I was nine in '69 and the music was country for me. Charlie Pride, Lynn Anderson, Loretta Lynn, Conway Twitty, George Jones. Johnny Cash suppose should be another thread for the music huh?
Folks were not JWs. but I remember the buzz about the end of sytem coming soon cause my best friend in school was a jw. Her mom never interfered with us but I remember all she went through. She had to leave the room during the flag pledge.... Then that was changed some time later cause it was dis-respectful... she could stay just not stand...

Fran..I have given this thread a lot of thought today! look forward to the test! Indeed I love my job. But since I've moved to another town and drive too much. I'm looking for another job closer to my new home.
But then I'm thinking if I get the new job I'm after. I will need this experiment in about a month. well this will get me ready for it

OH Frannie I am so up for this!
Kewl beans, Terri! (grabs Terri by the hand and bounces along side by side doin' the "Cotton-Eye Joe")
And the experiment also! not just dancing with you and Terri !
I too have seen how the visual effect of positive affirmations written on paper can instill a good feeling!
I work with kids. There are two of that work with the kids three counting our boss and he interacts with the kids on a limited bases...Each of us agree totally with one another about the way we will care for the children ie...if Miss Sherri says something then thats the way I feel also. so don't ask her and if you do not get what you want then ask me thinking I'll over rule her...but even at that we each have a different "way" of communicating. S. is short and tempermental easily aggravated. our boss is the GOOD guy so he jokes a lot with the young'uns they think he is always kidding! I am patient and even when they/I know they need scolding I choose my words and actions carefully so as not to hurt there spirits. They will come to me every time they need something. I'm convinced they do it because of our reactions to them, tone of voice, sense of humor etc.
So count me in luv. I too give this idea a

Okay I got so caught up in the fun of the moment on this thread I forgot what my opinion is!
otoh, "intuition" holds much mystery, and has, in its own right, been the fundamental source of what is typically called "genius."
In that respect, "intuition" is at one and the same time both a source of fascination to me, and a source of frustration, especially because intuition doesn't conform to the supposed "provability" of life.
I'm continuing on this amazing journey of discovery and learning of "intelligence" mine and the ability/inability to recognize it in others. I for one am very glad that my "intuition" has carried me through and helped in the process of "getting to know people again"
BEMSMOM<---------was married & in the borg and outta the real world far too long. Why I said "getting to know people again!"
Gretchen said:...I have been teased all my life for being "blonde"...yet 4.0 grades....
Gretchen dear don't you notice how so many wanna be "BLONDES" and get theres from a bottle?so maybe blondes have it right after all . I am notablonde just making a point.

Venomous hatred is wrong IMHO not matter who it comes from... I would strive to be totally opposite of something I detested.
The families of those lost will be suffering at the tragic loss. Compassion is not so complicated, why I wonder is it so difficult to have?< no replies necessary>

(((B))) you are such a sweet heart
I'm sure you do the relaxation thing and tell each individual body part to go to sleep...Or am being too simplistic?
