i quit....smoking that is, my pack to 1 1/2 pack a day habit...i quit june 4th, not a single cigarette since then...though 5 to 7 pounds...are ya proud of me...huh huh huh....i had a few of ya hoping i was leaving the board....ha!
Congratulations! I've never smoked, But I have been through the ceasing process with some friends,co-workers. the hard parts were easier to get through they said if they stayed busy. and my mom chewed so much gum when she quit you would think she was gonna chew a hole through it! seemed to help her not eat.a friend kept plain, un-buttered pop-corn around to munch on. helped her.

this kinda thread has probably been done before... someone phones me at work and when i say hello they say "hold on" and start talking to someone else, they dont tell me who they are and i'm hanging on hearing them chat to someone who is with them on the other end, 5 mins later they introduce themselves and tell me what they want.
that is a pet peeve.. another, for example, go to the fridge and both tubs of butter are open and both blocks of cheese instead of finishing one off and then opening the other.
thats just a small pet peeve but its one none the less.. miserable sod arnt i though?.

6) Call me prudish, but I've always hated sex talk on the job. A little occasional raunch is okay, but a major pet peeve of mine is when some turn every single subject back onto sex. I have an coworker who is constantly regaling me with her many sexcapades. I'm not that close with her. To date, I haven't thought of a polite way to curb her prattle about her many sexual conquests. Some "experiences" need to stay in the bedroom.
Can you tell I find my coworkers profoundly irritating?

Of course the age old seat up ,down problem! The real problem is a dark bath room and sitting before looking to see if the seat is up or down. Ughhhh.

Wednesday ~ Sunspot answered what the toy is.I have a pattern for a quilt block called "pinwheel" yes SS. I too have always loved them. but could never get my kids or grand-daughter as interested in them.

Didn't think to mention this til I read other posts.(guess it was because I despised the man) ( it's the other gender age related...older man younger woman) the man my mom married was 31 years older than her.He died at 96 years old, they were married over 40 years if they were happy I never seen it.bitter home to grow up in. Moms a bitter woman (not gonna let that happen to me).
I have had several friends and aquintances who have been older than there husbands and it seems good for both.and some not so good.
please dont take offence but ive just realised something maybe its been touched on before,.but when i was reading the thread on bil cosby i read the one off obviously secret.
now as i am a white person i assumed he was white until he stated he was black.
so when i thought about it, i imagine everyone on this site is white, does everyone who is black imagine everyone else is black, and anyone oriental imagine everyone else is oriental.
