it has been a mixed bag for me.

i have met some through my wife, who is not a witness.

How Have You Gone About Making Friends Since Leaving the Witnesses ?

i've noticed lately that some on our board, or perhaps for many of us, that's why i'm writing this , have had a challenge making new friends after leaving the jehovah's witnesses religion.

it has been a mixed bag for me.

i have met some through my wife, who is not a witness.

People are often critisizing those of us who continue to post here at JWD saying that we do not move on, But my sweetest/best friends are from this forum this is where I met them and although I do not "see" them here at the forum anymore this is where they come from. Now they are in-in-the-solid friends not just cyber friends.

I have always been outgoing and friendly so I have no problems making friends or keeping them, But My kids seem to stay extremely close to each other and are super close to me, the my daughter says she misses and wants close friends, but doesn't have them but she's a 27 year old mom going to nursing school so maybe it will happen after school, since she has always worked nights, this may of hindered her. My 29 year old son has friends but seems to allienate people quickly. my youngest 18 year old son maybe because he's a teen, purty much hates everyone. SO....we'll see where that goes with him, although he does have friends that are game-nerds-zoids he's a X-Box fiend

PHEW!! OH Emma thanks so much for saying that! My thought was a Blue Hoe at least I feel a bit better knowing someone came a bit close to what my mind conjured. Then MM "seen" a Red Spade.

But The fruit that came to my mind was a Pineapple, I didn't think of the Apple till I read the example. very cool and freaky indeed is the mind of man/womankind.

Christmas Card exchange?

Hi fellow christmas-card-exchangers a co-exchanger made a valid point, about complete addresses, in other words write the country the card is going to along with the address. Thank you Frequent_Fader_MIles

a made up example.

NY 12345 USA (as opposed to) NY 12345 Russia? It's just that sometimes we neglect to write addresses to make it easier for overseas senders, that's all. Same thing happens here, there are several "Trinidads" worldwide, but only one "Republic of Trinidad and Tobago" or "Trinidad, West Indies"

and to add to that there is a New York in Great Britain possibly even more than one in GB.

So.......On the cards it will help move things along if you add the country the card is going to, the Post Office Here in Oklahoma, USA, has me write it out not abbreviate it, when I send mail to England, it has to have Great Britain or United Kingdom written on the bottom of the letter ,parcel, or customs slip <if a package is mailed). I remember some of the addresses already have the country or reciept on the addresses so for the ones that are sending to America, you will need to add USA or write it out, I have gotten lots of mail from Overseas & Canada and the Abbreviation USA seems to be accepted To know if an address is an American address all of our zip codes are 5 digit numbers such as:

My name P.O. Box #### City, Ok. #####
