  Question About The Religion

  Someone Smashed Into My Daughter's House

  while my daughter was visiting me here someone broke into her house and stole a bunch of stuff.

  i hate crooks, i hope no one ever tries it while i'm home, they will get a 45 slug and probably won't survive it.. ken p.

  Unfortunately these things happened to many people, I had a burglary in July 2003 while I was on holidays, surprisingly they only stole my camera, then I got a digital one.

  Male or Female

  i have been reading over the forum today and something hit me.

  because i don't look up everyone's histories, there are people i assumed were either male or female--partly based on their avatar and partly based on the type of comments they make.

  well guess what folks--i was shocked to find out i was wrong about a few people.. does anyone else out there decide that certain posters are male or female, and then find out they're wrong?

  I chose this avatar because I liked its overall ambience, it's an indefinable something, that I find so fascinating in it. The beautiful crusader princess dubs the knight.
  
  Your username needs no explanation I suppose, it's a direct rebellion against the WTS and their narrowminded concepts of the world.

  Loosie there is no misunderstanding it's all good fun.
  
  So many people thought I was female despite the male symbol but fortunately this thread clears it up.
  
  When I was thinking of dawn I saw it in terms of the dawning and expansion of awareness relative to vital issues, night being equivalent to ignorance. Green represents vegetation and life a relaxing invigorating colour so Greendawn means the coming of awareness that induces a pleasant cheerful mood.

  When and why was the Holy Spirit reinstated?

  in the 1939 book "salvation" it is said that the holy spirit was taken away in 1918. i find many refernces to the holy spirit in current wts literature.

  the answer should be known to all jw's.

  Proselytizing for the Borg

  i recently read a post written by a female jw who was obviously disenchanted with the wtbts.

  she wrote about how she had been out in the door to door work recently because she had no excuse not to go, and how she had placed some magazines with a "householder".

  it made me think about how just one small thing like placing wt literature with an innocent unknowing individual might eventually lead them into the watchtower trap.

  In their circumstances that's the best they can do, they show that they also have some tricks up their own sleeves against the borg.
  
  They only appear to preach and make sure that any interest gets nowhere, there could be thousands in that position.

  to understand so that's why the wts published the new book being released at this year's district conventions.. the new book gets "straight to the point".

  according to her "and many others", the knowledge book was too difficult for those just beginning a bible study.

  actually i have a friend in mexico who wants a green card.

  i cannot see any purpose in marrying a very large, spanish speaking, gay man in order to get him a green card.

  but still he did learn to tell me he loves me in english.

  here's one those of you who are still in can use.. if you're still in the tms or just practice field service presentations or hey... even field service itself, imagine giving the introduction about being in the last days and this kind of stuff, and then: "but i do have good news: i just saved a bunch of money by switching my car insurance to geicko!".

  Is the Watchtower hurting financially?

  while surfing e-watchman's paradise forum, i clicked on one of the topics i never go to, "our meetings & assemblies" and found an interesting post on the wt bleeding financially.. it was posted 3 months ago.. http://e-jehovahs-witnesses.com/viewtopic.php?t=2888&postdays=0&postorder=asc&&start=0.

  in my neck of the woods (which shall remain anonymous) the do and co have been circulating the rumour that the watchtower society is in financial straights and is being bled dry.

  this must be very pressing.

  At the end of the day we can only speculate as regards the actual state of their finances simply because they keep everything so secret, who can tell the exact number and nature of assets they have globally and their income from properties, money in interest bearing accounts, stocks and shares, plus income from publications and donations.
  
  What we know for sure is that they are a multi billion dollar business.
