A number found in a symbolic context can only be symbolic. Are they literally virginal, male, and jewish? No they are not as any dub would admit. Are they literally 144 000 in number? I don't think so.
Then look at the weak argument they present to support it, the other sheep that fill in after the 144 000 were supposedly completed, are they the soon to be gentile christians (not from, this, the jewish yard) or members of a queer minded sect that was to appear 2000 years later?
Obviously there were likely millions if not tens of millions of faithful christians around the world throughout 1900 years. And are JWs christians at all or some kind of jehovite judaic organisation pretending to be christian? What does the organisation of jehovah have to do with the church of Christ I wonder?

There was apparently a mistranslation of a Hebrew word which could mean children in their late teens rather than prepuberty children. Joseph when sold to slavery was described by that same word.
Also Bethel was a great centre of Baal worship and child sacrifices at the time so the taunting by them of Elijah may have involved more than just teasing him as a bald head. It probably had undertones of Baal worship against jehovah worship, baalists insulting what elijah worshipped and stood for.
But I also find that the mauling of 42 children by just two bears is a later exaggeration to impress the reader. -

The WTS blood policy is so ridiculous I can't understand why any state or court tolerates it. It's obvious enough people that are willing to go against the mighty survival instinct and choose death over life for the sake of denying blood which was willingly and harmlessly donated to save lives, have been mind conditioned and coerced by their well known spiritual mentors.
In effect they don't choose, they are tricked into choosing life over death with devious arguments. It's time that courts recognized the WTS leaders for the dangerous vermin that they are. -

Strangely there was a time when vaccines were banned by the Rutherford before the blood ban and dub kids had some rough time at school for refusing to vaccinate. An odd cultic thing.
Now with the JW blood policy in total disarray and most blood components being allowed I don't think the dubs will bother with hair splitting on vaccines. -

my 11 year old was the first to bring it up talking about wwi & ww2.
we had an interesting conversation about it, then the subject got onto nuclear bombs.

America is not really being governed by the president or the supreme elected bodies but rather by a concealed group that has immense wealth and through it overwhelming influence. The president can not defy that group but has to obey their agenda or else will be crashed and removed by actual or character assassination.
As for America meddling in other countries that's the same old imperialistic game going on since time immemorial, same game different players. The real rulers of America want to expand their control as much as they can in the world but fortunately there will always be checks and balances, one single world power dominating everything, whichever that would be, is something extremely dangerous and undesirable. -

Catholics are OK nowadays though in the past they were a dreadfully oppressive and authoritarian religion. They do have some left overs from the days of paganism but to me this is not important since they keep the essence of christianity which the JWs certainly do not and they also let you find your own level in religion instead of constantly ramming things down your throat.

The JWs have their own fair share of pedophiles after claiming for years that their org is clean of them, even one GB member was into it. If your wife doesn't like it's her problem. The WTS was suppressing the issue for years in order to avoid paying damages to victims something in the end they had to do abundantly. It's amazing the WTS for once had to pay money to its victims.

my parents have a long time been jws, and it is very hard for me to tell them the truth.
