You can be expelled for disagreeing with any of their major dogmas, they call it apostasy, eg accepting and worshipping Christ as God can earn you an expulsion since to them He is just a king and chief priest a creature and not a God.Smoking cigarettes also gets you out.
There are also many things for which you can get marked as inferior and potentially dangerous to the spirituality of the group which means you will be shut off to a great extend but not completely, you are quasi disfellowshipped, marginalised.

The Organization Trains Witnesses To Feel Guilty
by minimus invery seldom do you hear of a witness feeling like they are satisfied with what they have done in the "truth".
most feel like they "need to do more".
there's all this "urgency" to reach "honest hearted ones" before it is too late.

The dubs don't care about the nonsense the org gives them to believe but here they really eat some potent spiritual poison since they get shut off from Christ and all that He stands for. They might as well be jews or moslems.

Diet Pop and Sugar Substitute - Danger to your Health??
by Rod P inpop....and i emailed her the following article.
during the lecture i said "if you are using aspartame (nutrasweet,.
diet coke and diet pepsi, etc.

It may be that it is harmful for some people with metabolic weaknesses but not for the general population. I personally used to drink lots of diet (and non diet) drinks with no ill effects, but then gave them all up for fruit/veg juices which are incomparably healthier and better tasting.
It is not the amino acids that are harmful but the methanol and knowing how big companies act I wouldn't be surprised if some bribery did occur in approving aspartame. -

A feeling of community
by logansrun infor bettor or worse -- and it definitely seems it was worse for some here -- the witness religion provides a sense of community for it's members.
humans are social creatures; we evolved to be part of a community.
there are practical, emotional, intellectual and, if you want to use the word, spiritual, benefits to having some sense of group belonging.

Indeed humans have a strong social instinct that needs to be gratified through social intercourse, those people that were/are perfectly happy to live as hermits are very few.
Modern societies make for loneliness and individuals tend to compensate for it through the warmth of sexual relationships, Trying to find social (or spiritual) gratification in a cultic group carries an aweful price. They will make you pay for it ten times over especially if you decide to turn your back on them.
I am sure there are lots of other harmless outlets. I've found a sense of community by associating all be it loosely with a sincere evangelical group, or participating in clubs of which so many exist covering all sorts of interests, my interests are history, music, computing, psychology, nature walks. -

What happens to the 144K in the new system?
by M.J. inquick question that i just pondered...isn't the teaching of the wts that at the end of this system, the 144k will get transferred to heaven to manage things from up there there with christ?
and that this will happen by a creation of "spiritual bodies" in heaven that will somehow be a recreation of "them"?
what happens to their bodies on earth?

From what I understood the physical bodies will be instantly transformed into spiritual bodies the material body will not disolve into gases it will become spirit, much as angels in the past went through the reverse process and materialised eg at Sodom.
Science talks of the full inter-convertibility between matter and energy.
It will not be surprising if subsequently they flip flop freely between the two natures since both worlds belong to them, angelic and human.
Have in mind that the JW concept of the 144 000 as a literal number is in gross error since they ripped it out of the totally symbolic context of the: 144 000 virginal male Jews. And who can believe that nearly two millenia of christianity could not produce enough worthy people to complete that number indeed many times over.
Rutherford must have had a drink too many when he was thinking that one out. His mashed up alcoholic brain failed to see the obvious. -

Christian(?) JWs who don't even believe that they can have a direct relationship with Christ and the Holy Spirit goes round them, that's morbid. Thanks to the few bottles of whisky Rutherford had (and a bit of angelic chanelling let's not forget)before dreaming up this silly dogma.

They are not a christian group despite all the talking they do about Christ because the essence of christianity eludes them, you can't have the old jewish works oriented attitute but it seems that this cult or corporation can't do without it, people have to be pressured to work so that the $$$$ will keep rolling in. The more laid back Christian attitute with its emphasis on faith and mercy rather than works won't work for this.
And with the worshipping of Christ being a disfellowshipping offence(!!!)I could never understand why they call themselves Christians. Big fishy mystery here. They obviously don't follow the apostolic faith, is the WTS judaism in disguise?
What were Russell, Rutherford, and Franz really up to? -

This high pressure enviroment is what typifies a cult. In the JWs with an overwhelming old testament background with its stern and exacting god what else can you expect?
His psychology fits in well with the big business psychology of the WTS they always ask for more and never express any thankfulness or praise for the work already done. And if you do anything they don't like, everything gets immediately written off without the least compensation even for 30-50 years of loyal service to the fraudsters.
You don't serve Christ but a multinational multi billion dollar corporation, so what else could you expect? -

I also note how the whole article has a a very poisonous mood that's calculated to drag down the self esteem and spirits of the reader revolving around the grim subject of slavery instead of choosing a subject with a much more cheerful and optimistic outlook eg centring around how much God wants humans to be his children, not his slaves for heaven's sake.
In typical WTS fashion they focus mainly on the outdated OT while trying to put on it a cheap NT veneer. The whole NT approach is that through Christ humans receive a divine sonship so they can have the freedom of sons in the household of the Father.
The overall direction of this article betrays it as one originating from a spirit poisoning cult it has a Godly appearence but is in fact satanic in its deeper nature, foul crap dusted with icing sugar.
BTW does anyone know who could be writing these subtly manipulative articles?
