but look at the definition of "cult" and you will see it applies to any system of thought concieved by an individual or group to control others.

Ready... Steady... COOK!!

minced beef, carrots, onions, leeks, turnip/swede, potatoes (just ordinary ones, not the sweet variety), button mushrooms.. i want to do something other than shove it all in a pan and boil it up!
anybody got any creative recipe ideas for me to try out?.

It is apparently the process of globalisation reaching out into restaurants. And it makes business sense that if something sells then so be it, then sell it. It's just strange at first for a Spanish eatery to sell mousaka or for a Greek one to sell paella.

If what they used to say is anything to go by today the non JW spouse of a JW doesn't get a bad deal at all, husbands are to be obeyed and respected especially if they financially support their wives, then it's only the problem that the non JW spouse will supposedly soon die at armageddon. What's really bad is for a JW spouse to leave the cult then the marriage could well get wrecked by a vengeful organisation.

They have been sitting at the station for years now waiting for the armageddon train to come in. They keep telling them that it will be very soon, it can't be long now, that it's just round the corner, that it's any time soon, that they better get really ready because it's almost there. They have even been told that everyone should stand by ready for an extraordinary message from the station masters, again any time soon.
One can only hope that by the year 2020 they will have realised that this train has been indefinitely postponed. Naive passengers that bought expensive but worthless tickets. -

I am surprised I thought tapas restaurants served Spanish and not Greek food. Perhaps you went to a Greek taverna.
Most of the ingredients you mention with the addition of courgettes, aubergines and bechamel sauce could make a nice mousaka.

The point with the JWs and other like minded totalitarian organisations is that they (in the name of religion) seek to rigorously control the lives of their members at a personal level to exert intimate tight control in other words, something which is not found in most of the places that you mentioned. Mainstream Christian religions today and democratic political parties clearly do not act in that way constantly trying to induce fear and guilt in their followers.

computer question
by rekless inxp home edition 10 gigs there are 1.8 gigs free.
there are two users listed, now i have log on to both and cleaned out the files that are shared, still no improvement.. over the past year it has added vitual memory a couple of times; therefore, i assume (i know the joke) it moves some memory from one section to another and i am running out of memory.. if i removed one would it free up some hard drive?.
if so, how do i remove one of the users?.

That's also what I would say, add some more Hard Disk capacity by now even a 250GB HDD is cheap as the front end has reached at least 750 GB if not 1000 GB = 1 Terabyte.
In the UK even a 750 GB HDD costs around £80 - £100 = $160 to $200. In the USA they are usually cheaper. -

So, I opened my big mouth and my sister-in-law called me an apostate . . .
by Olin Moyles Ghost ina few nights ago, mrs. ghost and i joined her family for a nice dinner on the occasion of her parents' anniversary.
they are all witnesses and decent folks--not elders or "big shots," but as far as i can tell they all buy into the jw stuff.
it was a pleasant evening, with a lot of reminiscing on the part of the in-laws.

The WTS did say, directly or indirectly it makes no difference, that the end would come in 1975, what they learnt from 1925 is to be more subtle and get the JWs excited without being too up front about it but rather with some clever hints in that direction. Lots of naive dubs were making big sacrifices for the "final years" something that benefited enormously the WTS business.
As for people being terminally exterminated without ever having heard the gospel not a chance that this will ever happen. The armageddon of the JWs and its events are pure WTS childish mythology, nothing to do with God's way of dealing with mankind.
