I wasn't involved in shunning anyone or ever was an elder so I don't really have anything to apologise for. Fortunately I also never brought anyone in the cult.

As A Former JW, Do You Feel You Should "Apologize" For Past Actions?
by minimus indo you believe that you should now apologize for whatever actions you made when you were a witness?.
do you think that if you were an elder that you should contact those that might've felt oppressed by you and your "theocratic" actions?.
if you were a zealous preacher, do you now feel you should go back to your former bible students and tell them the error of your ways?.

It's a strange case, someone comes in furtively when you are out and directly rather than remotely sets up your PC to bypass all security for subsequent remote intrusion and hacking. Never heard of this before and sounds overwrought to me but it may be the case. Could you not have done something to disable the PC from starting or secure it with passwords that only you and your kids know?
Hope your new place will be safe from such activities. -

The Watchtowers lies............for money.
by searcher inthe wtbts makes much of how witmesses were persecuted in nazi germay, but how many know that they claimed compensation for it, and lied?.
in a letter to adolf hitler the wt claimed,.
"dear reichskanzler, the brooklyn headquarter of the watchtower society is pro german in an exemplary way and has been so for many years.

They surely do, the WTS was created solely for the purpose of making money (out of religion) and it's not surprising to see them acting in that way, supporting Swaggert a man of the satanic babylonian entity according to them, in order to save millions from taxes. Also the Mexico/Malawi issue in Mexico they backed down to keep their properties there and the JWs could get the political party card unlike in Malawi.
In fact they are always very prepared to work with the world of satan as they call it to save money. -

Don't you have a firewall? If necessary two firewalls a software one in the PC plus a hardware one, a router with firewall protection. I am pretty sure that would stop the hackers by hiding your ports and inhibiting any changes they try to make.
Also have a good antivirus and antispyware to stop keyloggers and trojans used by hackers to gather info/gain access. If necessary change ISP.
Finally have two PCs one of which will be always off line and contain all sensitive info. PCs today are quite cheap. -

Can a Woman be DFd for wearing a pantsuit to meetings?
by LovesDubs inim wondering if they are still so tight assed in the organization as to make issue with such matters that they would df a woman who preferred to wear pants to dresses but still came to the hall.
do you think they wouldnt allow her to enter after awhile?
i wore a skort once and gave a talk back in like, 1986 and was soundly reprimanded for wearing apparel that was "masculine and improper for sisters to be wearing".

Where I was they didn't mind women wearing trousers (pants) with or without a suit at meetings as long as they weren't tightly fitting and sexually provocative. A few women used them regularly especially in the winter. Nobody cared in the least and why should it matter, trousers and suits or dresses?

Welcome, it's sad how they DF people that were forced into baptism to begin with. It shows how rotten they are, not that it matters to you now but so many young JWs are pushed into baptism at an age they can't decide for themselves.

The Watchtower----A Book Publishing Company???
by minimus insure they publish books and they used to do that quite a bit.
but now, i wouldn't primarily call it a "book publishing company".
they charge nothing for the literature.

They must be making good money out of them even if they sell them cheap due to the enormous turn over, low cost production (Bethelites) and the cost free distribution (all the JW drones).
They also make a good deal of money from donations some people donate large sums of money and real estate. And finally they have a lot of other things going on in their financial empire a lot of real estate and who knows what else, stocks and shares etc, they never give any disclosure. To top it all they pay no taxes on profit.
Some cosy arrangement to say the least. They also have another dimension they apply mind control techniques under the guise of religion. And it wouldn't be beyond them to do this as part of a large scientific experiment in alliance with mass control experts but this is just speculation that the dubs unbeknown to them are being used as guinea pigs in mass control experiments. -

Are we hyper-sensitised to JW changes? Do we exaggerate their importance?
by yadda yadda 2 insometimes i think we lose all perspective at times on here.
that we are just as prone to over-magnifying any meaning behind relatively minor changes like this in the organisation in the same way jw's are prone to over exaggerate every bit of bad news in the world to mean armageddon is near.. when you sit down in the cold light of day, this change to the bookstudy arrangement for example, is it really that much a big deal?
i strongly doubt it really, despite initial reactions (including my own).

There was too much interest shown and too much energy invested in the change regarding the book study. I could never understand why all the excitement about a minor JW change. If it involved a revocation of shunning or preaching yes but not the book study.

Some people would deflate the tires, or at least one, of the offending vehicle. But I think you embarassed him enough to be more careful next time.
