i'm new to the forums so i just wanted to say hi.

kind of nervous at the moment.. i'm one of the jehovah's witness kids that is looking for the whole truth.

i go to the meetings and have my own problems with the organization but i do believe in alot of it's beliefs.. since i got that out the way i wanted to see what other people think about the newer jehovah's witness teens.

Just returned from alovely day of shopping and pub drinking so sorry it's taken a while for me to reply. I hope that we can become best friends too I love everybody on this board they really do rock!!

I didn't like what you said about being afraid of sex . How awful is that. Especially if your into the kinky kind of sex that alot of people are into (mentioning no names ).How can you be afraid of such a thing, you really must have been mentally tortured if it has gotten that bad.

Which Side of the Bed?

i can sleep on either side but i prefer the right side.

my first ex husband always insisted we change based on which side was closer to the door.

I have the sexiest bed in the world. It is a four-poster with the little princess curtains around. It's placed right in the middle of the room and i refuse to let anybody sleep in it. I tend to sleep on the left if your looking at it but for some stupid reason i found myself on the right this morning..

Hey!!!... and welcome to the forums

Well we are the same age i believe and i have to say that i have never been your typical dedicated jw child (as most ppl on here will already know!). I have only one mother that is a jw and my father isn't which means that i have a certain amount of freedom.My mum knows the kind of peron that i am - i enjoy going out alot and drinking, 99% of my friends are outside of the jw community and i do actually like boys... What a sin!!!

The majority of the kids in my congregation are boring and quite frankly sad. They never go out, never swear, never drink. Their idea of fun is probably sitting down and having a bible story. I do know what you mean about living a double life though. Although i personally don't my friend is baptised and has a boyfriend who is 19 and also in the congregation. I know for a fact that she has been having sex (shock horror... ) for at least two years.Nobody has a clue, they believe because of their upbringing they will know not to do this!! Whatever!!

Recently i told my mum that i didn't believe in anything anymore and she was really devastated about this. Although this is not completely true i wanted to see her reaction. She kept telling me how stupid i was to believe we appeared by chance and her and my gran got me a load of evolution books that are supposed to make me change my mind. Once again.... whatever!!! Although i don't agree with some of the things that they teach i can't say that i see them as the enemy and still accept some of the things they say.

But hey, good to hear your story.Hope you keep posting here.

Our first birhtday!!!

yesterday i had my kids for the weekend.

it was my 7 year old boy's birthday.

the kids live with the ex who is still a jw so she is still pushing the hard line with the kids.

Aww... that sounds fun!! I've always wanted to have a surprise birthday party. Inffact i'm counting on the parents throwing me one for my 18th. Yay!!!

Should the age of consent for sexual acts be changed?

this woman seems to think so.pretty scary who is controlling our laws..wouldn't you say?

june 14: avowed feminist and aclu activist ruth bader ginsberg was appointed to be an associate justice on the supreme court.

based on a report she co-authored and on her previous decisions, these are some of the positions she has expressed in the past.

Lyin eyes i know that you have the protective mother figure inside you but being a 16 year old girlin the Uk means that i am legally allowed to have sex at any given time. Harmless flirting onthis chatroom doesn not mean a thing. At 16 i do feel ready to have sex. Maybe this is just me but it really is what i believe.I think that 12 is WAY too young and 18 is just too old because the majority of teenagers have already had sex by this age.

I believe it depend upon the individual and agree that the age gap is a big part of the matter.Two young people may feel that they are ready to have sex and may actually feel more sexually mature than somebosy single in their 40's!!! It's what circumstances dictate really and changing the law will not really affect ones actions.

On or off with the Condoms?

i'm not sure if anyone has been following the crisis in the porn industry, but there has been 5 actors so far to test positive for hiv since a male actor tested positve earlier in the month.

apparently, the male actor who started the whole hiv thing was doing an unprotected porn shoot in brazil and then came back and began to spread the love.

many want to start a mandatory condom thing now in the porn industry.

I agree with what some people have said that it was these peoples choices to enter into the porn business and therefore their risks that they are taking, especailly by risking unprotected sex with people they know are very sexually active.

I do however belive that the porn industry should try and protect the 'employees' so to speak and seriously encourage the use of condoms. This way, people are still deciding for themselves what they should do, but at the same time being made aware of the fact that they are taking a hige risk with their lives. So really in my opinion it's gotta be...condoms on!!!

I agree with Lady Lee. To lower the age of consent to 12 would be ridiculous. No child at 12 would be able to understand fully the consequences and actions of sex. To permit sex at that age in a way would be encouraging it and probably result in ever more young and unwanted pregnancies.

In the Uk the legal age is 16.I think that they have got this just about right. At my age i feel old enough and am able to stand both the benefits and complications of sex. However, this age does seem realistic. I think that 18 is slightly too old as alot of teenagers have already had sex by then. It is probably slightly too optomistic of people to keep the limit at 18.

However, i do believe that prostitution should be made legal. The diseases and other problems that occur could be prevented if people didn't have to sneak around doing this thing. But of course there are always the problems of pimps and other things that could happen if this was legalised.

we all have to be careful about how much information we give out over the net,,it is wise and prudent in some areas,, but what about age???.

now i know many women don't like to admit they are over 29 what do you think is the percentage of correct profiles in reguards to age??.

this is private information and i don't want this to be a prying type of thread just reasonable discussion.

Nope , i really am 16. I know that on this site you need to withold some details but i don't see the point in lying about your age... what would you possibly gain from that?? Maybe i just don't understand what it's like to be in the 'mature' years.

Parents don't understand...

my parents just don't understand why i don't want to be part of the jehovah's witnesses organization.

it's not that i don't believe jesus' teachings, but i believe that the society has taken it too far.

they read too deep into god's words, that they end up putting training wheels on everyone.

Aww... sounds like your having a hard time with your parents and the congregation. Well i don't really know what it's like for you to be forved to go to the meetings and all of that but i do know what it is like not wanting to be that way that your parents or in my case 'parent' want you to be. In a way i have been lucky that my father has never been a Jw so i can get out of alot of things in that respect.

I hate the way in which the congregation always pay such close attentions to relationships that are going on. In my opinion a person should be able to choose who they want to be with and not have to be chaperoned. Least i can relate to you in age if not much else but i sorta do understand what you are feeling. Recently i have stopped going to the meeting and last time i actually missed the assembly. This year i told my mum that i didn't want to go to the memorial and she got really upset. She knows that i don't really believe what they teach but i go out of respect for her and my nan. It sounds stupid but that's what i do.

As for advice i don't really know what to say to you. I am the same age as you but my situation is less serious. I really do feel sorry for what you are having to go through. Try and keep your head up hun, im sure it'll get better.
