I was a JW from 1956 to 1976. 1976 makes a point, doesn't it? 1975 precedes 1976. 'Nuff said. I was DF because of my beliefs not to mention my non-beliefs. I hope I can support this Board and the people here who have experienced the pain and suffering that I have endured from the Watchtower Organization.

Got a visit from JW's on Saturday-redux

i posted this on sunday but i think the demons got to it .

i should have known that on a beautiful saturday morning that dubs we be crawling the neighborhood.

we've been living in this neighborhood for about a year and a half and we are usually home on saturdays.

my mother passed away in february.

she was a pioneer for 40 years and steadfast in her jw beliefs to the day she died.

i flew to kentucky to find her cold and dead in her bed.

My mother passed away in February. She was a pioneer for 40 years and steadfast in her JW beliefs to the day she died. I flew to Kentucky to find her cold and dead in her bed. The Memorial Service was conducted at a "Kingdom Hall" by a man that sodomized me when I was 8 years old. He wouldn't look me in the eye. He said, during his sermon at the memorial, "If anyone tells you that you're never going to die, they are a liar and from Satan". I could not believe what I heard. I remember the book "Millions Now Living Will Never Die" (1920) by the Watchtower Organization and also the lies that led to 1975 that I remember very well. It simply makes me sick that three of my sisters are still thumping the "New World Translation".

I agree SaintSaten, to the human, "perfection" is in the minds eye, not reality. What is perfect to one is imperfect to another. Reality can not be mistaken.

Damn, that hits home. I don't believe in most people, I believe in the earth and the treasures as you said, the flowers and the birds. I know them well and I know I count on them each and every day and they never let me down. With people you just can't trust anything.

Well, what I think is that the friends I have met here from all over the world in this forum are the only ones that could possibly understand me and my problems with WTS. They have been down the dark trail as I have been. All I see is peace and assistance here. I suggest you use it.

Jesus Baptism

does anyone know what jesus age was when he got baptized by john the baptizer?.

i was baptized at 12 years old and now feel that i wasn't old enough to truly understand what i was doing.

(i had several friends being baptized and wanted to be baptized at the same time).

I was baptizedwhen I was 8 years old. My mother told me I could go swimming in a BIG swimming pool. Neet O! I was trying to swim, but a big guy grabbed me and dunked me under the water and told me to get out of the pool. It was an Assembly.
