  to commemorate her 69th birthday on october 1, actress/vocalist julie andrews made a special appearance at manhattan's radio city \music hall for the benefit of the aarp.

  one of the musical numbers she performed was "my favorite things" from the legendary movie "sound of music.

  " however, the lyrics of the song were deliberately changed for the entertainment of her "blue hair" audience.

  the kingdom hall where i used to go has the theocratic ministry school and service meetings on tuesday.

  i have finally come to grips with my need to exit the jehovah's witnesses forever.

  i told my parents today that i'm leaving the jw religion behind forever.

  in case you are interested ,tonight on tmj4 at 10: 00 pm they are doing an investigation on the living church of god which is much like the jws in their beliefs.. this might be interesting for those that have family members in the jws how the wt does not have the market on their beliefs.

  My Mum won't give up...

  my wife called me earlier today and told me that my mom just sent us an invitation to the memorial on the mail.

  she still hopes that i'm going through a 'rebellious phase' and that i will someday join her dubby brothers again.

  she will probably come to san antonio in late may to visit my brother and i know that when we see each other face to face we will have a long-awaited and dreaded conversation; starting with my piercings and my tattoo all the way to the real reasons why i decided to leave the dubs.

  My mom is inactive, and hasn't been to the hall for some time.

  However when it comes to the Memorial, ... "you gotta pick me up and take me"

  Its like WHY?????

  usually elders come over a few days before to invite me, but they didn't come yet....

  Does any one remember a couple of years ago when the KM came out and said that the elders were to call on those who were inactive before April 1st and invite them to the Memorial???????????????????

  I do. And when April 2nd came around and no one called and no one showed up to invite me, I got the KM out and waved it at my active wife and said ... I guess I just do not count, even when ordered by the boys in New York.

  Within a couple of days I had a message left by an elder who's book study I was assigned to. When I returned the call, All I said was YES I will be there , or there will be hell to pay at home.
