  there was some really piddily-crap that i remember.. for instance, when i was about 17 toe-rings became popular, and one of the sisters bought one....wore it to the kh during the summer with her sandals.

  my best friend in the hall wanted one, which of course caused this huge debate about whether it would be okay 'in jehovah's eyes', and didn't it go against the scripture that counsels women against "bodily adornment", blah-blah-blah.

  thank you all for the kind words from those who posted on the other thread about the student of mine who was found dead from a gunshot wound on tuesday....i have more to get off my chest...

  ?..i went to the funeral today.

  it was held in a funeral home.

  he not only identified the comet that was later to be known by his name, but also compiled a star catalogue, detected the proper motion of stars, using historical records, and began a line of research that, after his death, resulted in a reasonably accurate calculation of the astronomical unit.

  here in oz, today is anzac day, the national commemoration of soldiers, sailors and airmen who have fallen in war.

  mrs ozzie and i have been very conscious of the fact that the wts and jws avoid recognizing any debt to the members of the armed forces who have fought in battle to preserve the peaceful conditions that the wts benefits from in its printing operations.
