What Type Of Jehovah's Witness Were You, REALLY???
by minimus inmost jws seem to be "devout" in that they go to 5 meetings and out in field service.
yet, many also lived double lives.
were you a true-blue jw or were you a faker?

I never got baptized but I have to say I was a believer I never volunteered or reached out and felt guilty about leading a double life, grass smoking and premarital sex and striving for material things, I always felt guilty that I was not as much involed as the others, but after getting to know more about my moms congregation and other congregations I saw that the witnesses had alot of problems amongst themselves and you are better off spending as little time as you can with them.

Deleted's Top Five Poll #1 - What would you get disfellowshipped for today?
by Deleted ini've been reading this site for years and i need more posts (is this a left over dub-thang like counting time?).
so taking a page from ozzie's poll, here's my top five.
1. i got myself doctorates in divinity & metaphysics from the ulc (ulc.org, about $140 - i went for the works) so i could register with the county as a minister to officiate weddings, done 4 so far - i don't charge if you're interested.

What little things used to excite you as a JW?
by doodle-v ini would get excited when i was younger and would study the watchtower and see that this weeks study only had 19 paragraphs.
(made the study seem shorter,lol).
when a meeting would get canceled because of snow (which was rare) and i would get to stay home and watch a cheers or the cosby show.

I agree with you Nos seeing all those hot sisters really turned me on too,but when I was young anyone who accepted my magazine presantation always made me feel good.

These matters take time I too was raised as a jw and my wife now is not and Ihad to hear counsel from elders and they really work mind games with you and give you this big guilt trip, anyways I chose my wife over the org. she showed me what real true christian love is and I think you have to be patient and show your friend that even though you are not a jw you have so much to offer and that he really examines his religion very closely.

What did you actually enjoy about JW meetings?
by Pinned Blouse in.
as much as i dreaded going to all the meetings there were things that i did enjoy.. 1. no special parking spaces for the elders, etc.. 2. no collections plate going around the room.
3. no one person giving the talk every single week (can you imagine the same speaker 3 to 4 times a week, every day?

I miss all the nerds coming up to me and saying how nice it is to see me but not even caring about my spirituality.
