  LET'S MAKE A LITTLE WAGER

  perhaps you recall the instance in the bible where samson made a wager with the philistines that they couldnt guess his riddle.

  as it turned out they wheedled the answer out of him by his fiancee, but the point is that they had a wager.

  since the underlying assumption of the apostasy is that we are not living in the last days of this system of things, and that this world is not facing anything remotely like the biblical apocalypse, at least not any time soon, in the spirit of such antagonism, i would like to propose a similar wager.

  Watchtower hysteria

  i have been away from the organization for about 3yrs now.. what did it for me was that verse in psalms/proverbs, where it says: do not put your trust in nobles or the son of earthling man.. the watchtower officials are like nobles.

  they expect trust from you, with their multitude of rules for christian living.

  something they say is down to your conscience; yet punish you for exercising your conscience.they infact want you to exercise their conscience.. yes, i have doubts about these people!.

  mistaken email interception

  my wife sent an email to her sister from my server yesterday...unfortunately she had mispelled the recipients email address and it bounced back...and i just retrieved it.

  as some of you know i have faded from the borganization and have been working to get my kids out too.

  so i will post a snippet from the email, she sent, here followed by a question:.

  Funerals

  i haven't been to a "worldly" funeral...well ever that i can remember.

  all the funerals i have been to have been jw ones where they use it as another opportunity to preach to everyone in sight.

  they usually make a token mention of the dead loved one and then begin with the resurrection and earthly paradise and how you have to be a jw to get there.. today i went to my aunts funeral.

  xena, i know what you mean. when my grandmother died, it was a surreal, beautiful experience to speak of her.....everyone was crying from the joy of her life.....JW's just don't understand love.

  you got a loner here!!! if i remember, i just asked a question to you. feel free to email me at any time, i'm an open ear and talkative mouth (hands, really), and people attack because there are people who would do things to hijack threads, just to stir things up. i like to come here and post, angst-free.

  Keep at it. In the end it works. Just do what they do....do you remember all of those district conventions telling us to leave the Watchtowers in subtle places for the family to see with "interesting" titles.

  So, leave the UN stuff in a good place, in the bathroom near the crapper, or on the table.......leave 607 stuff around, the three publications which give three different explanations of 607.......the Nazi stuff is what got me out......

  just use your subtlty, it'll work eventually.
