  Sooty and Jehovah

  a couple of years ago we took our youngest to see sooty.

  anyone from the uk will instantly know who i mean sooty is a little glove-puppet bear (?

  ) who never speaks but has managed to turn himself, over the last 50 years or so, into a british national institution.. sooty has a couple of friends sweep the dog (always my favourite) and soo and various others who appear in his show.

  Exactly. 'Jehovah' becomes the equivalent of a moral battering ram. One word can get people to do what you want-so true.

  apparently the wts believes that the present number of witnesses around the world is only just the beginning>.

  the january 15, 2002 issue of the watchtower states; "amid the world's present darkness, 'foreigners'-the emerging great crowd of sheeplike ones-enjoy jehovah's light together with the anointed christians.

  Are they saying that people other than JW's would be saved? If so, quite interesting.

  My mother said that mainstreaming is the only way for the WTBTS to survive. I think she's right, and they may be leaning towards that.

  ....the love we create and share, because our wealth will be distributed after our deaths, debts cancelled, sins forgiven, but the love we give someone will be a testament to our hearts, which is what people will remember, and memory can live from one generation to the next.

  "i think it would be a little hard for someone to throw me out of a religious organization i am not part of ..don't you think.

  i am an ex jw and i just left quietly.

  i was in bethel and started seeing huge holes in the borg.

  i was also a non practicing homosexual (undeclared at the time).

  Hey, Brit, as far as I know, they can DF you anytime for any reason. If you are not dependent on anyone, then I would think that you should just DA yourself.

  Congrats on living a life true to yourself. I hope you stay happy, and away from the borg.

  my sister's future in-laws are threatening that no one will come to their wedding if they don't have it in the kingdom hall.. (we're the reason they can't have it in the hall.

  the soon-to-be newlyweds want us to be in the wedding, plus we're shelling out some major cash for it.).

  don't you just love the jw sense of brotherhood?
