I'm a never-was...but...faced my own hell elsewhere.
Now...I just got a promotion!
But...I'm not working right now, home taking care of my mom who had a stroke.
Other good stuff...my daughter is a fabulous mama to my 2 gorgeous granddaughters, my sons are doing well, my husband is long, lean and luscious, my new SUV is way cool, and we're almost out of debt!!!

What happened to the USS San Francisco is a rarity. There's some talk that the captain misread the charts and the boat was going too fast for the area they were patrolling. I do know that some folks from where I work have been sent to Guam to assess damage (I work where the sub was built).
And...just to clarify the record here. The sub is nuclear powered, however, given the location of the damage, at NO time was there any danger to the reactor or subsidiary systems. A reactor is HARD to "blow up"...3 Mile Island notwithstanding. (That's a whole 'nother story that I'll relay for anyone who's interested).

My daughter has a brain tumor :(

#2 daughter came home from college on 12/18 with a violent headache, nausea, neck pain and great fatigue.
we took her to the dr. on the 20 and again on the 21st as she had kept nothing down for 3 days.

My sad news
by Fe2O3Girl inas some of you on the board knew i was expecting a baby, i feel i should let you know that things have not worked out for us.. when i went for the 20 week ultrasound scan last thursday, severe problems were found with our baby's internal development.
only one kidney was detected, and it was very enlarged and polycystic.
there was no long term hope for the baby at all; if it survived to full term it could only live for hours at most.

Its a girl
by mouthy inmy 11th great grandchild was born at 9.13 pm tonight 8lbs 30z by natural childbirth her name will be tavia melanie legg.
mother & baby is doing well- great granma is totally exhausted.....
