I haven't been here in a while, but I thought I'd throw it out there as well. I'm single, funny thing is today would have been my 10 year anniversary! I'm feeling kinda _____(?) about it. My ex-husband calls up crying ,saying how we should get back together, that's he's been miserable the past 5 years since our divorce. I know that's not what I want though...

4. I used to wish I was invisble during the Watchtower so I wouldn't get called on...

what did you find the most boring book to read in the bible?.

its a hard choice as there's so many to choose from but i have to go with psalms.flipping nora it take for ever to read, is written in some incomprehensible way, and is about nothing!

i was just wondering what thoughts some of you may have on the topic of satanism and/or the occult.

i doubt that i am alone in my curiosity, being that we were told that the "practice of spiritism is detestable to jehovah" and all that, but now are free to explore as we wish.... i've actually embraced certain views after a few years of self-discovery, and now have zero fear in acknowledging the fact that i do find the subject interesting enough to practice.. i may or may not get "slammed" for having certain opinions.

just wondered if others have gone in an entirely opposite direction since leaving "the truth"... (i always hated it being called that...).

Wolfy, I believe you. There are so many things that happen to people in their lifetimes that after awhile, I've decided to question nothing anymore. Growing up I was taught that if you opened the doorway for the "demons" to come in, they would, and we should safeguard ourselves against this/that, blah, blah, blah...

However, after studying, examining and learning about these things that used to scare the shit out of me, I discovered that there really is nothing to be afraid of. What was once unknown or forbidden to delve into has now clarified a lot of questions I once had. Gotcha, in the same sense, I can understand the fear in which you speak of. After being brainwashed for years, I at forst thought to myself, "What you you doing?" But there were things that I wanted to know about, so after my mother died, I got my "get-out-of-jail-free" card, got out of the congregation, and went exploring...and I found a whole new world, and I had a lot of questions...

Xander, there is no confusion between Satanism and hedonism. Of course you are going to get similarities when defining the two from within the pages of a dictionary, however, again, those who practice know the meaning, it’s origins, etc. Pleasure, alone, can also take on many meanings. It depends on exactly what a person derives pleasure from...

The Eye – I have read a number of Crowley’s books. Talk about “mad genius”...

Interesting thought(s) you have on this, although most who practice any form of Satanism will know that the practice itself is one for self-fulfillment. Period. Nothing demanding involved, since there is no need for "worship" or prayer. Satanists are themselves "gods" and seek only to pleasure themselves, always...this is the difference between modern-day devil worshipers and Satanists.

I'm not even sure what day it falls on anymore. Once removed, it's gone completely from my life. My family doesn't even bother anymore -YEEHAAAA!!
It's the witnesses "Easter Celebration!" Not sure how everyone else prepared for the memorial each year when "active," but my mom would take us out and buy us cutesy new dresses, sometimes hats (aka "Easter Bonnets"), new shoes, you name it. For one night. For 1 hour or so.
It should come as no surprise to them that I'm bitter...

i was raised 3rd generation dub.

my dad is an elder as his dad was and my brother and the other brother is ms on the way to elderhood.

i'm df for 21 years when i was 20. the only credit i can give my parents is they're crazy would be whether they were catholic, buddist or atheist.
