How come I can't find this topic on the main sections of the site? I have to go to my post history to see it. Why is that?

"Evil Slave" still believed to be "Russelites"?
by Theocrat inas long as i can remember, the wts taught that the "evil slave" mentioned conversely to the fds by jesus were the "russelites", or group of people that followed russel's teachings, but hated rutherford and hated the fact that he took it upon himself to write the final "studies in the scriptures" volume.
then they refused to follow the direction that the organization was going at that time.
they then started their own tight-knit religious group with the sole intention of immortalizing russel and his teachings, which got them the label of "evil slave".

Any help would be appreciated.

Who's to say Jesus has "approved" the FDS and "appointed them..."
by Theocrat in"...over his belongings" ???.
i think the entire system of witness beliefs hinge on this issue: is the governing body the mouthpiece that jehovah is using to lead faithful ones on earth?.
it seems jw's just assume that jesus did inspect them and did appoint them over his belongings.

heathen, you're off topic. All of those things have to do with arriving at the 1914 date.
I'm talking about the FDS being inspected and approved. They just say that it happened and that's that. No evidence. No complex prophecy. It's like, "it happened just take our word for it."

*** w04 3/1 pp. 13-14 ‘The Faithful Slave’ Passes the Test! *** " In 1914, Jesus was enthroned as King, and soon it was time to inspect that "slave." For the most part, he found that the "slave" had proved itself "faithful and discreet." Hence, he appointed it "over all his belongings." (Matthew 24:45-47)
Thanks Mary. This is exactly what I'm talking about!
Where is the evidence that the slave was inspected and approved by Jesus. Something is definately amiss here. JW's are all about pointing to the laundry list of evidence that Jesus began ruling as King in heaven in 1914, but when it comes to this one key issue, they simply state the above quote.
I think this is going to be the issue that, with time, will unfold the real truth about Jehovah's Witnesses.

"...over His belongings" ???
I think the entire system of Witness beliefs hinge on this issue: Is the Governing Body the mouthpiece that Jehovah is using to lead faithful ones on earth?
It seems JW's just assume that Jesus did inspect them and did appoint them over his belongings. What if that inspection didn't go so well if it did, in fact, take place in the early 20's? What if it hasn't even happened yet? What if it is yet to be determined whether or not they actually are faithful and discreet and have God's approval or that perhaps they're occupying the role of the "evil slave", which would explain the Pharisee-like rules and regulations that overstep scripture that have ruled the organization for decades?
Any thoughts on this would be appreciated, as well as any recent (last 2 years) information from the JW publications concerning this.
Thanks!

Interesting experiment with your WT Library 1999 edition CD-ROM
by Theocrat inthis may work with the newer versions but it only worked for me with the 1999 version.. you'll need:.
1. your 1999 wt library cd-rom.
2. winamp (a media player program that many of you probably already have).

Well all I do is open up WinAmp and as long as my WT CD is in the drive, that's how it will read it's title.
I'm thinking that the WT society recycles CDs, and somewhere in the past, they used an image of this Yngwie Malmsteen in a publication that denounced heavy metal. The CD that had his image got reused as a WT Library CD. There may be thousands out there.

Nope, it only reads that title when it is reading the CD drive and when the WT CD is in there. I've only got like 10 songs on my computer and none of them are that dude.
