I find my lack of relationship experience to my detriment. JW relationships don't function the way a normal "worldly" relationship does.
Now that I'm out I have to start from square one trying to understand women (is it possible?).
Another funny thing occured to me the other day. The Watchtower always made it seem that any time a man and woman were together alone, sex immediately broke out. They just can't help themselves. So far that hasn't happened, or am I not meeting the right girls?

JW's always say the first witness was Able. So, I guess Cain would be the first apostate.

The Bible Encourages Drinking/Getting Smashed out of your mind
by proplog2 inproverbs 31:6 "give intoxicating liquor, you people, to the one about to perish and wine to those who are bitter of soul.
let one drink and forget one's poverty and let one remember one's own trouble no more.".
does anyone here know how to integrate this idea with the other scriptures on alcohol?.

Who could forget these two stories of getting smashed and the good that comes out of it. Lot and his daughter and Noah and his sons

by Lampokey inif anyone perceives the jehovah's witnesses as a strange bunch , then please do take a look at this site:.
http://www.landoverbaptist.net.
regrettably, a condition of registration is that their beliefs are not to be questioned on the forums.. i will find a way around this by careful syntax .

Can David beat Goliath again?
by Gill inthe wtbts is a huge multi million dollar industry.
we can't possible compare in its wealth.
yet i believe it is more than possible by pointing out just a few of the wtbts errors of doctrine and policy to bring down this legalistic, fanatical, organization.

Remember that they have time against them too. That gives them plenty of time to put their foot in their mouth. Also, the more time goes by without an end of world means more attrition of the rank and file.

Follow Up:
Well I finally talked to my friend about being a JW. He seemed OK with it and seemed to understand. He even said that his aunt was going to become a JW, but never did. He understood how messed up religion is and that I made the "right choice".
However, both of us had some beer and I am curious to see how it will be once we are both sober. -
