Who still fears the big 'A'?

i have been left for about 18 months now and am trying to get 'unindoctrinated' or 'unbrainwashed' or whatever is the correct term is.

but there still exists in me a considerable fear of 'armaggeddon'.

whether the jw teaching of 'armaggeddon' is true or not i am not sure, but such was their very powerful strong mental indoctrination of this event it has left me with what i think will be a permenant fear for the rest of my days.

If one was to pay for reinstatement and or avoid getting df'd, remember they'd have to pay off the JC (usually 2 to 3 window/toilet cleaning menial guys) that found them guilty of their heinous behavior. You know, the type of guys that enjoy pulling wings off of flies. Or ones that like to make you squirm.

I'd be surprised if you could buy them off! The holy spirit they're filled with is powerful shit.

Will Lack of Leadership Sink the JW Ship?

i see serious problems with the leadership of the witnesses on two important levels: locally, in smaller bodies of elders with marginally qualified men carrying heavier workloads, and internationally in a lackluster and unimaginative governing body.

That's right on the money. The "what will people think of me" fear syndrome. I too have seen so many youngs ones (including 3 of my own) who had the watchtower jammed downed their throats by fanatic parents, and they (the young ones) just aren't biting. Up here they have left in droves. Perhaps Jehovah will be forced to use the "stones to cry out" in the future. I hope so.

Yes. I had a broom-closet drinking "elder" who approached me one time and told me I need to be careful with having alchohol on my breath at a meeting. I'd tell him to kiss my ass today.

you step into the shower intent on grabbing a skin-drying manly soap - dial or zest or similar.. then it catches your eye - that little 'womanly scented' bath-bar.

you try and reach past it - to get the large man-size bar on the soap tray - but inexplicably you pick up the lady's perfumey soap.
