Hello and welcome,
I'll take the first question:
1. JW's can play guitar, as long as the music is appropriate, and you do not spend so much time practicing that you miss time studying, preaching or going to the meetings.

if i told you that something bigger is on the horizon than dateline, bbc, cbc, sunday (australia), and all other tv programs which exposed the sexual child abuse cover-up by watchtower in 2002-2003, would you believe me?
have i ever misled you?
i'll answer that--no!
Hi,
I just want to send a "shout out" to my Beautiful wife, and her friend, both eagerly trying to figure this out. (As am I)

Hello,
I am all ears. This is great. I hope its not a hoax.
Is it about that new NBC show, "The Boogyman"?

this is what i am worried will be going through my mind in less then a month.
i have always wanted a big christmas tree but since i was a full fledged jw till 5 yrs ago i never had one.
i just last year was able to get a small table top tree for christmas.
Hiya,
I've been there. Heck, I'll be back there too. Here was my thread: http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/6/80983/1.ashx
We will be having a tree this year too....cant wait to let more people down....sigh....

the most eerie and fascinating passage i ever read in any of the jw literature (literature??
) was in the red book, life everlasting in freedom of the sons of god.
i wish i had written the quote down.
I like it. Very good.
I like thinking that way too. I have always wondered how God is believed to be always there, no beginning no end..."us humans cannot understand", maybe because its not true???

todaythings have really come to a head and i have a massive decusion to make by 7pm tonight!.
basically i have been dfed since march tryed to get reinstated two weeks ago but they said no, thing is i only did it for my family esp my dad he is not well and i love him to pieces.
but when i got dfed i had a boyfriend and things have been up and down (hes put up with alot) but he is sticking by my side and i love him and want to be open about him and not lie anymore, .
Ok, so I am a current "fader" so take any of my "advice" with a grain of salt.
Lets look at it from another viewpoint. Lets say that you and your family have never heard of Jehovah's Witnesses. Would there still be this drama? Would the divorce and boyfriend thing be dividing your family anyway? Is it possible that Dad strongly dislikes this new boyfriend, and secretly hopes that by using religion that you will reunite with your husband? Is the boyfriend (homewrecker?) bad news, and everyone knows it but you?
Just an outside opinion.....I completely understand your prediciment....I wish you luck with your decision...

you all have been so helpful in the past with these things...and i have another "how to deal" question.... ok, we have been faded for a while now.
we have pumkins out for halloween, as well as fun decorations...the problem is..we got an anniversary card today in the mail from some old witness friends where we used to live...they wish they could visit...they are prone to drop by un announced...so..have any of you had any sucess of "warning" old witness friends that you have changed?.
we are still trying not to get disfellowshiped for family reasons.
Guys,
To be honest, these people I am concerned with at the moment would not be missed much if we never heard from them again. (Mean, I know, but you know what I mean.)
The only ones we have to be careful around are our witness family members. Boy, those egg shells are thin!
Thanks for the advice...great to know that were not alone...

Miss Peaches,
Yes. Thats it. Exactly. Do you (did you) happen to have any witness friends who lived away from you, and had no idea that you faded? Did you tell them? Or did "time heal all"?
