  i wasn't able to get a copy of the letter off the information board but here is the exact text of the letter that was read at our english meeting today.. to be read at the conclusion of the watchtower study of the week of april 21 - 27, 2008 from the governing body of jehovahs witnesses.

  a bit of backgound info................my husband and i, after being in the org for 20 , high pressured years, faded about 4 years ago and after the usual feelings , anger, sadness, joy etc we had quite a upsetting change of circumstances.

  recently my husband told me he didnt think he was in love with me anymore, decided he had missed out on what he really wanted to do with his life.

  he wants to get a high powered motor bike, go off and get new friends ( i have no objection but hes blamed me cos he hasnt got any) and now has got a big tatoo on his arm from the shoulder to the elbow.. ive never been really keen on tatoos but sort of gave my inital reluctant support and actually went with him when he had it done!!.

  The bigger issue is the whole " I don't think I am in love with you anymore". Forget the Tattoo...Find the other woman...

  so my girlfriend and i are getting very serious, and i've bought her engagement ring, should be done being built sometime in may.

  then at some point later, i'm going to ask her to marry me.

  she was with me and picked out her ring, so she knows its coming.

  My parents did not come to my wedding. I was DF too. (In fact, the reason for the marriage was to get re-instated)(how silly)

  Do try your hardest to look at this coin on both sides. (I know its diffiCULT, and there is really no excuse for his behavior.)

  Years after our wedding, we was watching the video of our wedding with my mom (who did not attend-same reasons as your dad), and she was in tears. (Mom was not a crier, she could hide her emotions on about everything.)

  The point I am trying to make is that He Really wants to be there too! He just has his blinders on, and they are not coming off. Try to empathize with him before "bashing" him at the wedding. I am quite sure that if he wasn't brainwashed into thinking that its a matter of paradise, or not if he attends, he would be there. I see no reason to make any announcements, or put anything on the invitation. The way it worked for us was nothing at all. Either everyone knew already, or the talk went on behind our backs, either way, there was no talk (to me) of my parents decision to miss our wedding. We had a lovely time without them.

  i would like to go with you at the end of the wt's logical of a earth without death.. * what would be the impact of no more carnivorous (isaiah 65) ?

  These are solid reasons for not expecting a paradise. However, when I was a believer, I would have thought of all this and I would have KNOWN that Jah would take care of the details. I would have thought of the Israelites, and the way Jah took care of them, and how they complained about the "impossible". Then I would feel all superior that I would be there, and you would not.

  But, I know better now. Nice dream though.

  INDIANA posters

  i was talking on the phone about a week ago with a poster from this forum, and when he found out i was from south bend, indiana, he asked me if i had gotten together with the group of indiana posters that were having a small gathering (around bloomington i think?).

  the truth is, i havent had one-on-one contact with too many from this board up till now, save some frequent chat room visitors, so i didnt realize we had an indiana following.

  after my name appeared on the whos who page, i did get emails from a couple people familiar with the area, but i would like to get in contact with the rest of the indiana posters.
