As we faded, the meetings would get farther and farther apart, the litiature guy would hunt us down on the way out of the hall and hand us a BIG stack of mags. I started to refuse them!! I would take a few, and tell him I have no use for the rest, and to give them to someone who would use them...

I remember in our congregation, we would "get rid of" the older magazines on what we refered to as a " Early Run" That would start about eight in the morning to about nine, and then we would meet with the group for nomal service. When you are pioneering, that extra hour really helped, and it was so easy, cause there was no talking involved. They called it the "early run" because they had a pattern of places that they would drive to to drop off the old issues. What a waste of time that was...
Has anyone else been on an "early run"? Or, was that just something my congregation did?

No doubt there are several faders on the board. If your like me, you had been active, and had been recieving the magazines at the counter, every week. Then we start missing meetings, then disappear. I wonder what they are doing with my pile, since it has been almost two years since I have been there. I figure that they are waiting till the pile gets too big, and then just passing them along to the pioneers. Maybe they have taken me off the list? If I am still on the list, the magazine guy has to wonder why I haven't been in a while.
It makes me wonder....

Just an Idea
by cab1000 inwhen i first started fading, and reading coc, i wanted to share the new information with my family.
i wanted to mail them copies of different things.
but as you all know, if you want to fade, you cant go around spreading these things.

Sounds good. Next time I run across something that is too good not to share, I'll pm you so we can work out a "secret" mailing...as long as you are away from IL and IN....

Do spiritual ones sit closer to the front?
by JH indf'd ones are asked to sit in the back row at the hall.
although i was never df'd, i always sat in the back because i felt more comfortable back there.
i never did participate much anyways so i sat in the last row or before last.

I remember a CO talking about how when you go to a concert, people pay top dollar to sit in the front rows. He contrasted that with the kindom hall, how everyone sits as far back as possible, yet how "much more important" the meetings were than some "worldly" concert.
For some reason, I cant seem to forget that illistration...

When I first started fading, and reading COC, I wanted to share the new information with my family. I wanted to mail them copies of different things. But as you all know, if you want to fade, you cant go around spreading these things. Since I live away from most of the family, if I mailed them a copy of anything, they would see the postmark, and be able to identify it as me. So, I thought that what if I mailed it to someone on the board who lives in "tin buck too", then the "board member" opened the outer mail package, and the inner package was just another pre stamped package addressed and ready to ship where it should go.
Currently, I have no such desire to "share" any information with anyone, but I thought it may be a good idea, and I would be willing to help someone else, if they wanted to mail annominoulsy.

How have some experienced the love?
by setfree ini remember one time at an assembly these two "brothers" were actually arguing over thier seats.
i thought they were going to go to blows.
isn't it funny how during the regular meeting nobody wants to set in the front rows, but boy at an assembly everyone wants to have that "showy means of display" by being in the front rows to be seen by all?

good story U/D...makes you think...I have seen that too during my time w/the dubs...
Kind of like we are all suppose to be equal, and yet, the dubs fawn over the d/o's and the bethalites.........
