the national average for publishers reporting feild service time in the untited states is just under 10 hours a month.
this has become the de facto standard for every member of the congregation.
if one fails to produce at the rate of others, he is "weak", his service is "divided", he puts the things of "this life" in "first place.".
Is the national average a self-fulfilling prophecy??
If the WTS says 10 hour/month is the average, and a majority of JWs fudge their hours to meet that (for political or other reasons) then isn't the whole "national average" a fake? It is simply a circle of deception.

the nearest i came was knocking myself out - my life actually did flash before my eyes.
it could only have been seconds before bumping my head and hitting the ground, but i flashed through scene after scene of life events, from childhood to adulthood.
Eyeslice: What about the fact that people have had no vital signs or mental activity for minutes and then revive. Since brain/nervous system activity can be measured were does "the juice" go when there is no activity in the body??
Granted my NDE was no tunnel of light, but I came out of that experience feeling "clean," as if I had been told the Big Secret and then been made to forget it. That's the only way I can explain it. I have never feared death since.
I understand that a increased desire to enjoy life without the fear of death is a common effect of NDE. It is also common to see what you want to see (inserting your own conceptions on a common experience?). A heavenbond Christain may see Jesus, a Buddhist may see a lotus, etc. Maybe that's why I drew a blank, as a JW I expected no afterlife.

I've learned the secret language of the WT publications (thanks Blondie!); the indisputable facts about the UN scandal; that JWs are the only group to believe in 607 - in essence the concrete reality hidden from me while "in the bubble."
And one thing that the WTS and JWD agree on (as heard from a District Convention): "Not many have survived the chat rooms!"

Actually this is common opinion among English speaking congregations in the US. Many Eng. pioneers are moving to Spanish, Russian, etc halls because they are so bored in their territories.
Pioneers count the time at "Pioneer School" a two week 80-hour course. About six hours of that period is actually spent in field service.
Pioneers can count up to 70 hours per month (the minimum average to reach the yearly quota) while participating in construction projects. This includes driving time to and from the construction site. Non-pioneers may be able to count service time if they are invited because of special skills. These are usually elders who manage crews, not the R&F who volunteer.
I know many pioneers/elders who love an excuse not to door-knock and jump at a chance for a construction project. Of course this is not expressly said, but actions speak.

i have been so sadend by finding this site and wanted you all to know that the organization is indeed a loving one with only your best interests at heart...but i'm sure, if you look deep within your hearts you already know this to be true...dont you?.
if you search your inamost thoughts and feelings and put away your debeauched/immoral life style ( because if you are truly honest with yourselves, guilt is the reason you needed to distance yourselves from righteousness) and come back to the truth you will see that only kind, loving and overwhelming compassion has always been at the forefront of the wtbts and that although you may feel contentment in a (deluded sort of way) you would have a real happiness within the true christian organization...as your former bible trained concience must know... all others that profess to be 'christian' are satanicly influenced even though they may appear to do good/kind things....how else would the last days of satans system be?.
so i urge all the 'lost sheep' to 'find the love you had at first' and return to the loving compasionate embrace of the organization....you know this makes sense!!!!

On the topic of JW buzzwords: Foregleam
This obscure word, used frequently in the pages of the WT, is found defined in only one outdated reference, all other dictionaries omit it:

Could it be this buzzword be so vague as to remove culpability instead of using other current words such as "interpretation," "prophecy," and "vision?"
If the WTS used real words to describe their failed interpretataion they would be forced to acknowledge their blind path. Instead they make a buzzword of "foregleam" and hide in the shadows of their deception.
