  I had my 20 week Sonogram today and........

  random task and i are having a healthy beautiful little girl (amelia sophia), they uped the due date from may 14 to may 9. it is just what we wanted we are so excited.

  #4 and #9...i really enjoyed the company and getting to know someone better whilst out doing the door-to-door thing....i never had a bible study, and was tremendously shy while a jw, so it was rare i would even knock at a door...so for me, definately fellowship with the hottie-o-the-week..

  i just watched the breakfast club for the bazillionth time.

  i always turn 15 again when i watch it.

  i need to score the dvd, it isn't the same when they clip out scenes and rewrite the "naughty words".

  My sad news

  as some of you on the board knew i was expecting a baby, i feel i should let you know that things have not worked out for us.. when i went for the 20 week ultrasound scan last thursday, severe problems were found with our baby's internal development.

  only one kidney was detected, and it was very enlarged and polycystic.

  there was no long term hope for the baby at all; if it survived to full term it could only live for hours at most.

  i can twirl tassles ...that's interesting.....i have often pondered what my existence would be like, in a philosophically stimulating sense, without them.....and i have had in-depth, some might say novel, discussions on decoration and exposure of my tits....

  growing up as a witness makes it nearly impossible to deal with the "world", as a child.

  constant pressure is put on witness kids to conform.

  most lead a "double life" out of necessity.

  not being allowed any friends...i was in a mostly older congregation and only saw kids my age at assemblies....and not being allowed to go to college as an english major...not 'reliable' enough a major, the parents said...

  i had tremendous amounts of sex...and tremendous amounts of alcohol...no permanent liver damage, however...

  I finally said enough is enough (shunning)

  i did what i was asked.

  all these weeks, i did all my mother asked when it came to dealing with the matters at hand for her.

  i'm nothing, if not loyal.. so over the weekend, when mother called for us to please come and deal with my relatives coming to the house to pick up boxes of my grandmother's belongings.

  I decided there was no way in hell I was going to validate these people or their hairbrained cult by going to my grandmother's so called memorial, which would actually be an infomercial for the WTS anyway. They would have so called 'worldly' family there who make me look like a saint when it comes to track record but because they weren't baptized as children, they are fine and dandy to associate with. HYPOCRITES! I want no part of any of this. My husband said the only word that fit the way that I have been treated is "inhumane."

  good job, doll! and your husband is a smart man....inhumane, indeed. i've been through the same thing with my family and it is liberating to just come to the conclusion that you need to do what YOU need to do to be happy...as you said, you can't keep validating them.
