  i have been calling my kids for some time now.

  i am moving far away soon, and since i haven't had any contact with my daughters, i called them to let them know i was moving, and would like to say goodbye, before i flew away.

  weeks went by, as ususal, and no response.

  Were You Filled With Guilt During Your Witness Days???

  i was seldom guilty because i was a "good" jw.

  most of the witnesses i knew always seemed to be guilty about one thing or another....were you one of those??

  Nope. You have to take it seriously before you can feel guilty. Who can take religion seriously? I mean reading "the lord of the rings" and live after those rules ?!!! Come on, seriously?

  Sad News...

  my mom had her valve replacement and triple by-pass surgery today.

  the operation lasted five hours, and they had just gotten her to her room at 8:00pm when she went into cardiac arrest.

  the doctor tried everything, even opening up her chest and massaging her heart.

  this reminds me of several news reports i've seen in the past where married couples who had been raised in very religious environments were having difficulty having children.

  after consulting a sex therapist it was concluded that the couples had never actually had sex... and did not even know how to have sex.

  I know people beeing critical for having pet´s, but it was always question about how to do with assemblys aso. And the risk of missing meetings ´cause your dog/cat was sick, pregnant aso.If there was any risk to miss just one meeting better to kill the dog/cat.

  A visit with my mom.....suggestions?

  my hubby and i had my mom over last sat.

  and overall she was pretty good with the exception of the magazines she left at the very end.. now she has called and asked if we can get together, just us, for cokes on friday while i'm in town.

  now, i know that she is going to witness to me and ask me if i love jehovah and tell me that if i do i should obey his commands.......and so on....and i will probably leave her feeling worthless.. i don't want to miss out on spending time with her because i really love my mother....but on the other hand i don't want to leave her depressed.... any suggestions?

  Tell her that you take time and for every minute pro jehova propaganda, she would have to listen and discuss same amount minutes about this nice book called CoC.
