the details of who to send a gift to will be getting pm'd to you all either friday afternoon or saturday morning!

according to the information i've found online the last posting day for standard parcels is dec 11th for usa and december 15th for the uk/europe, so you should all have plenty of time to select and send a gift, although sending sooner rather than later is prefered.

can everyone taking part post on this thread what things they like, what their interests are etc so that the person who is buying a gift for you has some idea what to get you.

Amazing How So Many JWs Practically Worship The Literature...

recently, i had to help my mom move from ny...she has just retired and has been a witness for over 30 years.

i wouldn't call her devout in that she never misses field service or that she would walk through horrible weather to get to a meeting but she is devout in a sense that she will believe whatever the wts puts before her.... anyway, my two older brothers who are also "in the truth" were helping go through what stuff we were going to move when we came to her literature stash.

my mom is an extreme packrat and we had been throwing so many items that she had bought over the years without even opening the boxes (the items got old & musty so they were unusable to others .

You can tell your brother that WTS want that all literature older than 18 months to be burned. It´s "Old Light" and we don´t want mean apostates to get their dirty hands on it.

It´s harder to rewrite a book than a CD

What Aggravates You The Most About People???

The most aggravating to me is Laziness when you have to do others work and they sit on their butt just watching you work. Grrrrr I like to sit on my butt watching somebody work. After an hour or so I tend to get tired though and need a coffee break.

I´d fill my truck with gas that´s 200$. Drive to Copenhagen (Denmark). Have a night out there for about 300$.Cheap hotell 150$. Boat roundtrip 100$. Buy some Carlsberg with me for 50$. And fill her up again for 200$. Home again with empty tank.

i try to respect everyne's opinions on religion but i find myself thinking, "what's wrong with these people?

No.But I have sometimes hard to cope with them. One reason is that the norm in Scandinavia is non religious. Religious people are commonly seen as weak naiv persons, who can´t survive without somebody telling them how to live their lives. Most people I have talked to are very antireligious. Going to church is not commonly accepted. aso.
