Thanks J2L for the anniversary post. I went back and read a couple of pages of the thread you refer to (Is there nothing good in the WT). It was a very stimulating thread.
We came here to Simon's about the same time. I'm glad we stuck around.

here are 3 newspaper articles re the "kh quick build program" from the past couple weeks alone which give jws good overall pr.. maybe these newspapers should be forwarded some of the oregon and canada news stories with inquiry whether they report on the jws' dark side???

was the memorial meeting last nite (3/22)?
my son was by this morning and said he didn't go .
i thought the memorial was something like the 28th.

my son is fifteen years old.
he is a portrait of conflict.
he has a lot of weird, definition-avoidant neurological problems (adhd, ocd, latent tourettes syndrome.... "those" kinds of things.

Thanks for posting your son's poem. I have started writing poetry for the 1st time in my life and have found it to be such a tremendous help in dealing with some very traumatic times lately.
My point is that it's wonderful your son utilizes this avenue of help and will go far in benefitting his therapy too. It did mine!

I'm sorry for the angst you suffer from time to time and for the loss of your father and brother. We all inherit certain tendencies to cope with in our genes, don't you agree?

That is sooo beautiful. It is sad, but yet so realistic. It moves a person to think deeply, which is good.
I have written several more poems as of late but don't have any to put up here.

And, in some ways your writing reminds me of a book by Pat Conroy (Prince of Tides). He has such a beautiful, pictorial way of writing.

Dear Frenchy,
As the 'Supreme One' of this board might say: "Dayum!" Your writing is the most beautiful i have ever seen. I'll be printing this thread out and saving (and savoring) your beautiful poetry & prose. It will inspire a poem or two in me.
Without seeming self-effacing, but wanting to be realistic, i almost feel embarrassed by my amateur efforts. BUT i'm not! So please don't think anything about it. I love your writing.
As far as the benefits to the writer, it's absolutely true. I've been penning poems about matters of deep concern to me. I'm finally having the time to understand the drive some have to create. And learn.
When i've written a poem about a deep concern, it's as if i've captured the essence of it and no longer need be so troubled.
Actually, it seems more powerful, for now at least, than prayer used to seem.
Well, fellow poet (& i flatter myself*), thanks for all of this and we'll be in touch. I think i, Audrey, have a kinship with The French Knight. But my alter-ego is just as likely to say "dayum!!"
