Does anyone know how Spain's pension plan works. Would there be a minimum that would have to be paid in by the Society or would it be based on actual income? If it is actual income it won't add up to much.

Did the elders in your congregation give counsel to those that were DATING? Good or bad counsel?
by BonaFide ini have heard some doozies.
some elders forbid the couple from sitting together at the meetings unless they are engaged.
i have heard that said from the platform.

I wouldn't call it counsel, but it was a reminder of the rule.
I was sitting in my usual seat at the end of the isle. It was a middle isle and on the other side was another set of chairs. I was interested in a sister and her and I spent a lot of time together out in service and socially. So, this one particular day the row of seats across from me was empty while the rows around that row where mostly filled up. She had brought some kids that she was studying with into the hall and saw that row empty. She sent the kids into the row and sat down. Well she was sitting directly across from me at a distance of at least four feet. After the meeting the PO comes up to me and after a little conversation about nothing, he gentle reminds me that couples aren't suppose to sit next to each other unless they are engaged. It took me a few seconds to figure out why he said that. I thought to myself he is crazy.

I was not a born in, but most of my fathers family were and are witnesses. My sister and I studied with my Aunt when we were young. I must have been around 14 at the time. At one point we approached my Mother and explained that we did not want to celebrate Christmas or any of the other holidays. She had always allowed us to make our own decision about what religion we wanted, so she accepted our decision. Thus no more holidays.
We no longer received presents on our birthdays or Christmas presents. However my cousins, who were born ins, received winter recess presents and on their birthdays were allowed to choose what they wanted for dinner and were given control of the remote for the day.
I missed Christmas mornings most. Sharing the opening of presents with my family. Also was jealous of my cousins for getting presents. I thought I was doing the right thing by not celebrating, but I missed them. I also felt bad for my mom, she loved the holidays. She was still able to have the witness side of the family over the day after Thanksgiving. So, we weren't celebrating it. Just taking advantage of the family having the day off and the turkey sales.

A TEENAGE tearaway has been slapped with an Asbo — to stop her terrorising a Jehovah’s Witness church.
Shauni Chalk, 16 — branded “out of control” by cops — was banned by a sheriff from the local Kingdom Hall.
The yob was given the anti-social behaviour order after she waged a three-month campaign of abuse against worshippers in Perth.
The town’s sheriff court was told Chalk — a ringleader of a local gang — had halted a service and intimidated members of the congregation.
A report on the girl thug said she interrupted one service and hurled abuse at visitors entering and leaving the church last January.
A Tayside police source said last night: “This girl is a menace to society.
“She has been threatening total strangers, hurling abuse at people coming in and out of church and attacked some youngsters.
“She is foul-mouthed to everyone who crosses her path and it just looks like she is completely out of control. She is constantly in trouble. Something had to be done.
The court also heard Chalk, of Perth, abused staff in a local supermarket before running outside and punching a young boy — then kicking him while he was down.
Two days later, she launched another foul-mouthed rant at shop workers. In a separate incident she spat at a police car and lashed out and struggled with cops.
She also hurled abuse at community wardens.
A lawyer for Perth and Kinross Council said: “It is necessary to grant the order for the purposes of protecting persons in the local authority area.”
A council spokesman confirmed the order banned Chalk from intimidating people attending the Kingdom Hall and harassing supermarket staff.

Chance find at the flea market
by Mebaqqer2 ini found something at the flea market today...two, not bound volumes...but individual magazines (watchtower and awake for the year 1974) each in a blue bundling folder.
the folders have "watchtower" and "awake" embossed on the front and in gold lettering on the spine with "watch tower bible & tract society" at the bottom of the spine.
who ever put these together, however, put the entire year of awake!

Thank you Blondie.. Sorry to hear you are sick … Hope you feel well soon. In Par 14 we courageously identify ourselves as Jehovah's Witnesses and Christ's followers at work, at school, in the neighborhood, and among our relatives. - Aren’t they supposed to be Christians? Why would they need to identify themselves as JWS and Christians?

Judge Rutherford and his wife were separated
by VM44 init is well know today that judge rutherford and his wife lived apart from each other for most of the time he was president of the watchtower bible and tract society.. the judge's main residences were at brooklyn bethel and the house beth sarim in san diego, california.. mary rutherford, his wife, lived in the city monrovia which is in the los angeles area and is about 125 miles from beth sarim.. there are no reports that judge rutherford was seen with his wife during the 20 years he was in control of the watchtower.
not a single report of him visiting monrovia!.
being away from one's wife for over 22 years certainly satisfys the definition of one being separated from one's wife.. the sataurday evening post's article "armageddon, inc" stated that there was a "mrs. rutherford" but that no one was saying anything at all about her.
